When foreigners immigrate to the USA, it’s usually solely to make a better life for their family. Lastly, many complain that immigrants come over to the USA and take “our” jobs, but that is not true at all. Immigrants almost all the time take jobs that Americans don not want. Colonists immigrated to the United States voluntarily; they helped mold this country to be what it is today. Colonists put laws and rules into play to create the law and political system we have today.
Medical Expenses Barriers The United States lamentably is a Country, that doesn’t have a program designed to prevent their citizens from having to live without health care insurance. There are many reasons that contribute to being unable to obtain medical attention, but one of the most evident is the inability to afford health care insurance. Although there are both private and public insurances, the minority class tends to be trapped in the middle, and that is due to the fact that most of this population consists of people that are paid a minimal amount. According to Kendall (2008), “Despite
People across the world come here in hopes of the “American Dream” and for some, it does happen, but at what cost? How many come in hopes of finding a better life but just realize that to find a better life they must leave behind culture and previous ways of life. They realize that although they come here to be accepted, they’re isolated and in some cases looked down upon by the natives, in this case Americans. Immigration has always been an issue to some natives, viewing immigrants as people who take and ruin their turf, rather than just trying to share it. In “The House on Mango Street” the author, Sandra Cisneros, really shows us all the troubles an immigrant faces like isolation and the struggle of assimilation.
Isolation would not make the citizens happy because some countries do not have all the appropriate resources to live comfortably in a modern world. For example, there is North Korea. This country is completely isolated from the rest of the world, and the citizens are often forced to do things they do not want to do. They must "worship" the country's leader and will get serious punishment if they get caught saying bad thing about him, not following other rules, etc. The citizens do not get the appropriate health care either because they do not have access to experienced doctor's from other countries.
The article “Paga ser Bilingue” by Domenico Maceri discusses why workers should be reward for being bilingual. Growing immigrant population in the United States that is not fluent in English requires providing more services in different languages. Many government agencies and American companies are looking to hire bilingual employees. Instead of hiring expensive professional interpreters, the companies prefer save money by providing stipends for multilingual workers. However, some people disagree with providing services in different languages because emigrants will never learn English.
Immigration, damaging or helpful? Immigration has been a problem in the United States since before the country was established. Many citizens and politicians claim that illegal immigration is a hindrance to the country’s economy because immigrants take American jobs and that they don’t pay taxes. They also agree that our government spends too much money in keeping them out. People on the other side of this argument claim that immigrants help by taking unwanted jobs with very little pay, and in doing that they are helping keep the prices of domestic goods down across the country.
Ena Figueroa Social Psychology Mr. Smith 10 March 2012 The American Dream America is often referred to as a "nation of immigrants" because of our open-door policy toward accepting foreigners hunting their vision of the American Dream. Recently, there has been an appeal by some politicians and citizens toward creating a closed-door policy on immigration. They are arguing that immigrants "threaten" American life by creating unemployment by taking jobs from American workers, using much-needed social services, and intruding on the "American way of life." If we are to continue to excel as a nation, the traditionalists who fear an invasion of foreign-born Americans need to evaluate the good and the bad of immigration to the United States.
Argumentative Essay The American people don't have any problems with seasonal workers. Those are the workers who do the jobs that most of the American citizens don't want to do or are physically unable to do them. The concerns rise when seasonal workers try to steal the good jobs that citizens should have the first chance to. If the seasonal workers greatly contribute to the country, congress should reform the visa system and give them a chance to advance in the United States by making easier acceptance. There are unpleasant aspects of immigration, which includes the hardships faced to reach America and the conflict to gain acceptance.
This is not right, or rational that people would risk so much in order to come to the United States, to work a job that most American citizens will not work. Yet we are hateful and mean, protesting, these people rights to make a living and support their families, if the work wasn’t here they would not come. Do you think the Native Americans like what happened to them, when the first generation immigrated to American, many Native Americans are still suffering the effect of the colonization of America. Published in the Huffington post a video “Native American Man Tells Anti-Illegal Immigration Protesters Who 'The Real Illegal Immigrants Are’ it goes on to say that a Native American man tells protesters “We didn’t invite none of you here. We’re the only Native Americans here.”(Ramos Z 2013) Are the Americans that don’t support open borders scared, because they don’t want what happened to the Native Americans,
Illegal aliens shouldn’t be rewarded with legal status and other benefits. Most Americans don’t want immigrants in their country because they take the jobs away form them. American citizens have different Pros and Cons about immigration topic like Amnesty, Deportation, Mexican Border Fence, Driver Licenses for illegal aliens. Most all of the states don’t allow immigrants to get a drivers license with the right paper work. This does not keep illegal aliens from driving, even though they work low salaries, can’t afford an insurance and they often have trouble the road signs in english.
