There are many reasons individual humans immigrate including employment, political issues, escaping conflict, natural disasters, wars, climate changes, family unification, to avoid persecution, and human trafficking. Mostly people immigrate because, they want to live a life of their dreams. Is it fair to treat human being differently because of the location they were born, or if they are wealthy or poor? Stricter borders caused more tragedy due to the facts the people used alternative routes to enter the states such as crossing large deserts, with little food or water causing death. Being smuggled in semi-trailers, causing suffocation and death. Sending young children to the United States first in hopes that they cannot be turned away. These people want to live a better life and in turn many lose their life in trying come to the United States to live their dreams. This is not right, or rational that people would risk so much in order to come to the United States, to work a job that most American citizens will not work. Yet we are hateful and mean, protesting, these people rights to make a living and support their families, if the work wasn’t here they would not come. Do you think the Native Americans like what happened to them, when the first generation immigrated to American, many Native Americans are still suffering the effect of the colonization of America. Published in the Huffington post a video “Native American Man Tells Anti-Illegal Immigration Protesters Who 'The Real Illegal Immigrants Are’ it goes on to say that a Native American man tells protesters “We didn’t invite none of you here. “The best factual estimate of Americans living in Mexico is below 150,000.”(B Masterson, 2000) enjoying the good weather and low cost of living. So both countries have something to offer. According to (Diaz, P., Saenz, D. S., & Kwan, V. Y. 2011) economy and ethic plays a big factor in our attitudes about both legal and illegal immigrants. Latinos are more in favor of immigration, the people of European descent in the restriction of immigrants. So there is some racial concerns of yet if employers were held the responsibility of assuring that people were paid a decent wages and income taxes were equally paid amongst their employees. Furthermore if there were not status and borders immigrants would be able to earn more money, because in the data provided by (Hall, M., Greenman, E., & Farkas, G. 2010). Legal Status and Wage Disparities for Mexican Immigrants showed that documented workers over undocumented workers earned higher pay and more likely to stay in the United States. So if we eliminate the needs for boarders then people could come and go and be happy, and return home would not be an issue. Wouldn’t it be easier for Americans to accept people’s differences and realize that immigrant just want to live a happy life like them? Opening the borders and allowing people to move freely would be the best action for maximizing the good
