Human Resource plays an important role in a health care organization. Human Resources in a health care organization cover everything from safety to performance management. They ensure health care delivery services and facilitate the best possible results for patients. Human Resource’s role is to design an organizational structure in the company that will help the company to achieve its goals effectively (Mejia Balkin & Cardy, 2010). HR manages every aspect of the organization that is related to personnel. In a health care organization, Human Resource is responsible for many aspects of the organization. The Human Resource department improves the overall health care services delivers as well as the outcomes of patients health. Human Resource functions include recruiting new employees, hiring, training, employee orientation, counseling, staff morale, claim handling, administration, work safety and sanitation, personnel management, as well as other duties (RNdegrees, 2010). Human Resource management also has huge responsibilities when it comes to dealing with HR law whichs include writing and implementing HR policies, monitoring the organizations HR decisions, and record keeping (Mejia Balkin & Cardy, 2010). The roles of a Human Resource Manager are essential to the development and success of an organization. Human Resources are the single most important cost in an organization (Mejia Balkin & Cardy, 2010). Their strategies contribute to organization performance most when the organization uses strategies to attract and recruit the employees that are the best candidates for the organization (Mejia Balkin & Cardy, 2010). Human Resource department also have to make sure that the company is in compliance with the law and that the company stay out of trouble.
