Gun control in the US Guns don’t kill people, people kill people. Many are in the belief that by making more laws of which the use of firearms will be stricter, the killings due of the use won’t be much less because as the statement says, people kill people, not the guns. They blame it on the society, video games, violent movies and toy guns. Some even says that they need more guns. They say this and they defend it with the statement that if they are threatened with a gun they can defend themselves if they have a gun themselves.
Gun Violence is a problem in the United States as well as in our community. So now we need to find a way to control gun violence. Guns themselves, however, are not the case of the violence, and gun control will do nothing to decrease violent crimes. People who decide to kill will find a way to kill even if they do not have access to guns. Therefore, guns cannot be singled out and blamed for all of gun control.
Gun casualties and incidents throughout the country have woken the public up from its ignorance and shown them the danger guns can pose to society (Martinez, 2013). While some people want a complete blanket ban on the ownership of guns, others wants an easier access to guns so that every person may look after their own security. Part of what makes the term gun control a very controversial topic is that it’s used in a ambiguous way that does not explain the details of the issue and the demands, apart from literally controlling guns. The two prominent sides of the debate are the groups who ask for liberal gun laws that make it easier for a person to procure guns and conversely, there are groups who want to repeal the second amendment. I personally am a strong believer that an “ideal society” should have no guns; nevertheless crime is a big problem to the citizens of our society and guns are necessary.
Without this gun, a dangerous or mentally insane criminal would likely injure or kill the victim with an illegally obtained gun or other weapon. If one focuses on the fact that criminals are obtaining their weapons illegally the large majority of the time, another hole can be seen in the argument of gun control advocates; criminals certainly do not obey the law, so if guns are very hard or impossible to obtain legally, this will not stop a criminal. So what if one was to look at a crime taking place in a society where guns are illegal? The scene would play out something like: a law abiding citizen would have their home invaded by a criminal with a gun, obtained illegally, and could do nothing as the criminal violated their safety, stole from them, and possibly injured or even killed the helpless victim who could not defend themselves without a gun. Criminals with guns would run amok robbing and murdering with no citizen
Gun Control There are Gun laws in the United States that regulate the sale, possession, and use of firearms and ammunition. These laws vary by state and are independent of federal firearms laws. There are just as many arguments for gun control as there are against gun control. In an ideal world where gun control was working, only people who will use guns for good will be allowed to possess and carry guns. However, the reality is that criminals will find a way to break gun laws and get guns illegally.
They government is emphasizing more on the fully automatic weapons, explosives, armor and other things that only the military should have access to. Some people do not see that the violence taking place in the U.S. has to do with the access to guns and the mental health of the individual. The people who are victims to some of the most recent shootings should speak up and tell others why we need to make obtaining these types of weapons much more difficult. Many individuals choose what they want to see, hear and believe, as in seeing the massacres happen and believing the government is taking their right away and not letting them have what they have the right to have, which is “the right to bear arms.” Most citizens do not see that making further background checks and regulation on the amount of ammunition that is
These allow the Police officers to disable the violent of dangerous suspects, without having to use a lethal method of force. The armed Police would not shoot to wound, they would shoot to kill, and keep in mind that we still want the criminals to go to court of potentially jail for what they have done. The heartbreaking event of the two Police officers from Manchester Police force was a terrible event. The officers thought that they were going to a routine 999 call of someone's window being broken in, this all changed when a heavily armed, violent man turned up with a gun threatening to shoot both of them. That's exactly what
More gun control laws will fix this and make it significantly harder for bad people to obtain guns. Others may think that it is an invasion of privacy to make people undergo background checks before obtaining a gun. Indeed, for a few people, background checks will be considered an invasion of privacy. However, it is very necessary. If there were not any background checks before owning a gun, it is possible for a terrorist or criminal to acquire a gun, like they can right now.
The Fallacy of Gun Control in America COM/215 The Fallacy of Gun Control in America Proposed gun control laws that ban gun ownership are a violation of every American’s Constitutional right to keep and bear arms and should be rejected. The debate concerning gun control has recently become a major point of contention in America. Any federal law that affects the nation must be made using rational and logical analysis. These analyses should be based on individual rights and perhaps even a little common sense. Although these ideals seem simple to many people, they are lost on the majority of the Democratic Party in America.
A certain type of gun should only be allowed to a certain person. Such as if your job is in the government or any other trusted position then you can be trusted. The sales representative or manger can also check for criminal back ground or anything suspicious about them. If this becomes a law then people who have committed crimes know not to come to a store and buy a gun or else they could be sent to jail. Less people will have an access to a gun causing fewer deaths to happen by gun violence conflicts.
