Gun control in the US Guns don’t kill people, people kill people. Many are in the belief that by making more laws of which the use of firearms will be stricter, the killings due of the use won’t be much less because as the statement says, people kill people, not the guns. They blame it on the society, video games, violent movies and toy guns. Some even says that they need more guns. They say this and they defend it with the statement that if they are threatened with a gun they can defend themselves if they have a gun themselves. I have the belief that by controlling the use of guns you WILL see a difference in killing due of the use of firearms. Of course guns don’t kill people. A gun can’t just shoot randomly but need a person to fire it. But then again if the gun weren’t there the person who wanted to shoot somebody didn’t have the possibility to do so. If you don’t have a gun lying around you won’t get in a situation where you can shoot somebody. I think that guns should be legal but not in the scale they have in the US. They need to make laws so that with every gun there is a license and registration, and if the gun you have is not registered in your name it’s illegal. Just like owning a car. You also need a registration for your car, and you need a license to drive it. Only a month ago, there was yet anther school shooting in the US. It happened in Newtown, Connecticut where it’s legal to buy and to own a handgun (not riffles or shotguns). A man, who was a former student at the local school, stole his mother’s gun and drove to the school. He then shot and killed 20 students and 6 teachers. Not long after, a man from China did quite the same. He went to his former school. By the fact that he couldn’t get in possession of a gun, he brought along a knife, which resulted in 20 injured students and 1 injured teacher, but none got killed. This proves my
