Scenario The wife of C.W., a 70-year-old man, brought him to the emergency department (ED) at 0430 this morning. She told the ED triage nurse that he had had dysentery for the past 3 days and last night he had a lot of “dark red” diarrhea. For some reason unknown, the nurses and doctor were unable to perform this procedure at the time she arrived. Not knowing that during the time she was waiting in the hospital, her unborn son was losing oxygen. Their son suffered from loss of oxygen to the brain during his birth, and was born with severe and permanent developmental delays, severe and permanent brain damage, multiple physical and mental disabilities, and Cerebral Palsy (Wenger & Rector, 2012). Describe the issues of the legal case. Some issues that arose during this preceding were that the defendant, John Hopkins Hospital, did not think that they were responsible for the child’s brain damages.
A young mother is in intensive care after having a rare but serious reaction to a friend's prescription antibiotics that caused her to "burn" from the inside out. Yassmeen Castanada, 19, wasn't feeling well on Thanksgiving, so she took a pill that her friend had left over from a previous illness. Soon, Castanada's eyes, nose and throat began to burn, and she was rushed to the emergency room, her mother, Laura Corona, told ABC News. Her body erupted in blisters over the next few days, Corona said. She had to be sedated and placed on a ventilator.
I think refining is the most appropriate response in this scenario. The vision and mission have already been established for Listo sytsem. However, the lack of employee training due to the rapid growth of the company and high turnover rate has resulted in low production and poor quality. Refining the company by using the ACHIEVE model to motivate employees is one of the theories that can be used to help the Vision to Performance. Managers need to know what motivates people in their organization.

REFLECTION: Communication with Dementia Patient During my rotation in Care of Elderly on Sarratt Ward, WGH, we once had a patient with severe dementia. She came in with a chest infection and had been unwell for two weeks and therefore not mobilized during that period of time. Previously she was walking with supervision of one. She was living in a residential home and for her to be able to go back there she was expected to be able to walk again with minimum assistance of one. The nursing staff reported that her chest infection had resolved and she was now more alert.

Running head: ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURAL ANALYSIS Organizational Cultural Analysis Shashi K. Bhat BUS7000 Organizational Behavior and Theory Diane Wuthnow Sunday, February 26, 2012 Introduction Organizational culture is a set of shared values, beliefs and assumptions that are commonly held in an organization. Culture defines the boundaries of an organization and differentiates an organization from another (Robins & Judge, 2012). Culture is what defines the dynamics of an organization and acts as a binding force between the members. Culture establishes implicit norms for the business, and may ultimately attribute to the rise or downfall of an organization. In today’s fast paced globalized businesses, maintaining a strong culture is getting increasingly challenging, and therefore stresses the need for a heightened awareness to maintain it.
