October 26, 2014 Dev. Psychology Virtual Child In the virtual child program I completed I gave birth to a health baby girl by the name of Zara. I chose the name Zara because of the meaning. The meaning of Zara in Arabic is princess and I thought that would beautifully describe my daughter, my princess. When Zara was a about three years old I gave birth to another baby girl and I named her Samia meaning, exalted. During this whole experience I was married and there was never any change in our marital status while raising our virtual children. Through out this paper I would be referencing the online program. At 8 months based on Thomas and Chess’s classic temperamental categories I described Zara as being an easy child with me but with others slow to warm up. I used the techniques my parents taught me, and that their parents taught them and put it into consideration while raising Zara and Samia. From what I believe I was a very warm parent. But based off of the evaluations, I was told that compared to other parents I was more strict. My parenting I believe helped Zara turn into the young adult she is today. My warm and (according to virtual child) strict parenting help mold Zara into I believe would be the best example of a child any parent would want. Being the parent my parents were helped me raise such a child. From birth Zara and I have had a wonderful relationship, she always preferred me to my partner and it never change. It only grew
