The authoritative parenting style, the better child development? ‘Parenting styles have consistently been shown to relate to various outcomes such as youth psychopathology, behavior problems, and academic performance’(E.,M.& R., 2009). Many people comment there is a close relationship between the parenting style and child personal behaviour. Parents are always our life coach. Especially for a primary school-age child, people always claim that parents are the role model of their kids.
In this style, parents take delight in their children and their achievements. At the same time, these parents present a precise figure of control. This includes age-conditioned boundaries that celebrate the child’s steps toward independence and self-reliance. Parents who have this form of parenting take into account the child’s developmental skills and emotional tantrums – both of which are affected by autism spectrum disorder. The parents are the ones who would adjust to the needs of their child.

Parenting requires a lot of skills such as patience, communication, and teaching and not to mention also a positive attitude. Expressing love and affection has always been one of the best skills to use as encouragement. Loving your children unconditionally, expressing to them how important they are to you helps develop a relationship. According to Divorce Wizards (1997), too often, children living in single parents households have to contend with negative stereotypes and hurtful remark made by insensitive adults. Therefore parents are the most important people in their children into a confident, productive, and responsible adult in today’s society.
My family raised me to be a strong and good person and I love them so much, especially my mom. My mom has been my best friend ever since the day I was born. I would hate to lose her. Without her, I don’t know what I’d do since she's the one who brought me into this world. Also, my dad has always been there to help me make tough decisions and I love him a lot.
Their disciplinary methods are supportive, rather than punitive. They want their children to be assertive as well as socially responsible, and self-regulated as well as cooperative" (Baumrind, 1991, p. 62). Although most parents use a combination of all four styles of parenting, the basic principles of authoritative parenting are very effective. Parents all have different parenting styles and for those that do not have children, they know how they want to raise their children. Two individuals that have children and two individuals that have not had children were interviewed and asked these four questions; “What makes an effective parent?’ ‘How do you know if you were an effective parent?’ ‘Which of the four parenting styles do you feel is most effective?’ and ‘Which style of parenting were you brought up with and do you wish you would have had been

Family and Parenting: We as parents are our children biggest influence; we are responsible for all their aspects of care, and safety. Our children form their first impression of the world through us as parents. I know when I was small my first impression was I wanted to be just like my great grandmother, to have as many children as she did, work just as hard as she did to take care of my family. I also found out as a parent that my kids was a product of me, whatever they heard me say or do they tried to do it. I had to be careful at what I say or do.
