In this outcome I will write the dictionary meaning and then explain in my own words. Then I will state which laws will promote the terms. And at the end I will relate the terms with any three sectors and explain it. Equality (Ajanta’s learner’s dictionary) the dictionary says” uniformity, evenness” This means giving equal chance/ opportunities and behaving or treating equally to all. According to equality people are not allowed to discriminate to other due to their culture, gender, disability, etc. Each people have their rights to be treated equally. Each people should be respected and should live in peace and harmony without causing any problem. Treating everyone equally makes our lives easy to run. For example: equal rights to men and women. It is about ‘creating a fairer society, where everyone can participate and has the opportunity to fulfill their possibility needs. Equal Pay Act 1975, Sex Discrimination Act 1975 and 1986, Race Relations Act 1976 and The Disability Discrimination Act 1995 law promotes the equality. Diversity (Ajanta’s learner’s dictionary1990s early 2000s) the dictionary says” variety, different” This means the natural or unnatural differences between any living beings. It is an understanding that individuals are different and unique from one another. For example: In this country there are lots of different people with different culture, ethnic, race, age, languages, etc. The different people are the flowers and race, culture, age, languages, etc are the colour of flowers. Even though they are of different colours they all form one unity which makes people to think, value, and respect each other without causing problems. When it is used as a contrast or addition to equality, it is about recognizing individual as well as group differences, treating people as individuals, and placing positive value on diversity in the community and in
