Continual professional development is a process of life-long learning that meets the needs of clients and enables care workers to expand and fulfil their potential. Communication is an essential tool a carer can use to meet the needs of vulnerable adults. It is a basic requirement of the job role to be able to communicate with the individuals and their families and members of staff on a daily basis. Communicating with staff members ensures effective team working and continuity of care. It also ensures any health and safety issues are recognised and reported.
