I believe that the arguments and points made in this article are closely related to the values from virtue ethics. The majority of affirmative action is based around the idea that minorities have been discriminated against for a long time and now they can essentially be "paid back" through these equal opportunities and benefits. This idea reminds me of someone trying to be virtuous and make up for all the wrongs that had been committed to someone else.
