The depreciating expense is $5000 each year with a tax rate of 25% and discount rate of 10%. These numbers were crucial in finding the NPV (net present value) and IRR (internal rate of return). Corporation “A” had a $100,000 operating revenue and I had to first figure out earnings before interest and tax so I could come out with taxes owed. By deducting cash expenses and depreciation I came up with the EBIT in which now I just multiplied by 25% tax rate. Now by deducting the EBIT I can figure out the net earnings and adding the depreciation back I got the C.F.
Katie Hanley Dylan Barth English 101 4 October 2012 Thirty Hours vs. Forty Hours There are people in the United States that favor a 30-hour work week over the modern 40-hour work week. Jeffrey Kaplan is one of those people. Kaplan put together a short article describing the benefits of having to work a shorter work week. By writing this essay, I think he was targeting middle-class citizens and anyone who was a current full-time employee in America. He uses the history of work in America and describes the changes it has encountered by using an example of the Kellogg’s company’s transition.

The table shows the work hours for each employee in the respective job. Employee | Job X | Job Y | Job Z | A | 16 | 20 | 13 | B | 25 | 18 | 16 | C | 17 | 22 | 24 | (a) Find the optimal assignment that will minimize the total working hours. ( 9 marks ) (b) Calculate the total working hours.
Explain your answer both graphically and in words. 1 B. Essay and Problem Solving 3. Suppose the demand curve for a good is given by the following equation: P = 500 – ¼Q. The supply curve is given by: P = 100 + ½Q , where P measures the price of the good (measured in dollars per unit) and Q represents the quantity of the good (measured in units per week).
c. What would be the effect on the optimal solution if the cost of operating mill 1 increased from $6,000 to $7,500 per day? d. What would be the effect on the optimal solution obtained in part c, if the company could supply only 10 tons of high-grade aluminum? e. In the original model (the one you formulated in part a): what is the shadow price for each of the three aluminum grades? f. In the original model: what is the sensitivity range for the objective function coefficients? Question 2 (16 points) Gilbert Moss and Angela Pasaic spent several summers during their college years working at archeological sites.
I choose the monthly data of average housing sales price (dollars), for the period between January 2001 to December 2010. There are 120 observations for 10 years. And the observing region is the United States. I should mention that there are two kinds of data for housing price. I used the not seasonally adjusted one, against the seasonally adjusted data, for the research for seasonal fact.
