You will perform a variety of security functions to ensure the safe care, custody and control of young offenders, as well as the safety of staff and the public. This involves monitoring and controlling offender movement, conducting patrols of the physical plant, supervising young offenders and maintaining accurate logbooks and young offender records. Exceptional interpersonal skills are essential in establishing and maintaining positive relationships with youths, staff, and the public. You will also influence and encourage positive behavior in this environment through your well-developed communication and leadership skills.
