Contrast on My Views and My Parents View on Social Issues

From the beginning of my life till now, my parents have been my life support for existence. They comfort me whenever I am sad and lonely; they provide all my needs and also share in my happiness. Despite the fact that we are always there for each other at our good and bad moments we still have different views towards life issues such as my relationships, studies and money. First, my parents and I have different views about studying in college, their description of studies means books and grades. Coming to college they said to me” When you receive your degree, we want you to be able to get a good job that will support you. We also want you to have grades that will make you a realistic candidate for that job” so always make proper use of your time in college which means spending all my time in the library, studying hard all day and at the end of the semester bringing home a befitting result. Following their advice it means that there would be no room for socializing, partying with friends or participating in extra-curriculums such as sports, art and literature activities; which they consider a waste of time. On the contrary, I do believe that all of these they consider waste of time including the books and grades are what make up the college life. As the popular saying goes “all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”. As students we need to get in other activities except reading books because the lessons we learn help us in other life issues and they also help us to develop our personalities; considering the fact that am a very shy person joining the debate club creates an opportunity for me to talk more which helps to work on my boldness and also helps me in class presentation. I still get the opportunity to have fun with my peers and also develop on my personality. Secondly, when it comes to relationships my parent’s opinion differs from mine. Basically,
