In my team we had numerous of skills that we identified between us. These skills helped us to develop ideas and plan our event plan. as a team we came up with a numerous of ideas that helped us gain success on the actual event day. There were advantages and disadvantages that as a team we had to face, but we overcame all of those problems and we worked together instead of falling apart and not negotiating on a decision. This was one of our key strengths.

Taking into account the opinions of others and listeneing properly to their input will encourage a healthy team and also give the person involved control of whos and what input they would like in their support. Features of effective team performance, are having the team interacting and empowering each other through discussion and suggestion, this enables the team through meetings and every day events to put ideas forward and develop them to see what works and what does not, as some people believe that they way they do things is the only way which is not the case. There are several challenges’ that can form between developing and established teams, as everyone has their strengths but with that comes some allowable weakness. When these are identified it is my job to nurture strengths and set goals to overcome any weaknesses I do this through observation, meetings, supervision and appraisals. I would employ all these skills throughout university life in order to help me succeed and do well. I spend the majority of my spare time socializing – perhaps a little more than I should – however I do believe I have a good balance of school work and free time. I love listening to music, reading magazines and going shopping, as does any teenager! Due to my bubbly and good natured personality I believe I would thoroughly enjoy the social aspects of university life. It would be a great opportunity to meet new people from very different backgrounds.

Developing those additional leadership skills and advancing the characteristics I currently possess, will allow me the opportunity to expand my horizon.
