SAN BENITO, TEXAS REPOSESSING LAND FOR WAL-MART CONSTRUCTION San Benito, Texas wants to repossess an entire block of homes for the construction of a superstore wal-mart. I understand that this would create economic growth and probably many jobs. The question is at whose expense? The answer is at the expense of the homeowners who will deal with making a decision and some hard decisions. Many homeowners will settle for market value on their homes others would probably request a little more. Some will refuse to sell because of their connection with their home; maybe it’s historic or passed down by previous family members (heirloom).
