The purpose of continuously improving performance at work is to ensure I learn new skills and produce good professional quality documents and deliver good customer serviced that meet the standards of my organization. This will help achieve the organization’s goals. My employer and colleagues will notice how hard I work and the standards I keep, this will ensure I may achieve permanent employment or promotion. b) What are the benefits of continuously improving performance at work?

1.2 Explain the importance of reflective practice in continuously improving the quality of service provided. Reflective practice should be important in just about anything the ward and I want to do well. It is the opportunity to look over what I have done, see what needs to be improved and what worked well. I can make a record of what went well (at least a mental one) and look for ways to improve the things that need to work better. It enables me to consider new approaches which could be applied and develop a greater self-awareness.

Reflective practice enables you to think about how you work in all areas of your setting as above. It enables you to look at how you handle situations, how you conduct yourself and the relationships you have, and where possible make changes to improve. Personal effectiveness is looking at how effective you are in your job, you can analsye your strengths and weaknesses and where possible gain new skills and opportunities to help sill any gaps you may have with regards to your practice. Within my setting I constantly reflect on how I work and try to think of ways that I can improve or different strategies that may improve my practice.
Unit 502 Promote professional development 1.1 Explain importance of continually improving knowledge and practice There is a lots of reason why we should always looking to improve our and others knowledge. Better understanding of what we doing will helps build better practice and provide better care for the service users. Especially managers they should always looks to improve their knowledge to make sure that service which they manage is running smoothly and staff working to high standards. Professional Development Plan is the tool which is used to improve the knowledge, skills, promotes and maintains competence to practise, improve satisfaction with work role and helping to find areas which they required improvement. It is important to learn more and gain more knowledge to be sure that practice stay on top of new legislation, follow current health and social care standards and guidelines for good practice and also meet CQC Standards.
CU2942 Promote Professional Development 1.1 It is important to continually improve my knowledge and practise within my role (as well as for others in their roles), so that I am aware of the up to date training, legislation and good practice. As I am a line manager I must set an example to others, and be knowledgeable enough to answer queries and share information. As legislation and methods of working in social care are often improved and adapted, I must keep up to date. Through expanding my knowledge I gain a better understanding of the job, which I can then pass on to others. I am able to undertake new duties through improvement, which makes my role more varied and interesting.
4.4 Evaluate how practice has been improved through: Reflection of practice By using reflective practice you are taking time to consider your work, it allows you to look at past experiences and apply them to future situations. I find a useful tool for reflective practice is feedback from clients through questionnaires and communication. This enables me to reflect on what we are doing right and where this is room for improvement, the clients may also give us ideas on how to improve. I then go back and reflect on the ideas given to me and decide how best to put these into practice. With staff members I find change over, staff meeting, supervisions appraisals and training are very useful for reflection of practice as we can all share our ideas or concerns and learn from each other.
