Module 1 Case Assignment BUS 499 BALANCE SCORECARD I believe that Cattaraugus County Rehabilitation Center (CCRC) had done an effective job of implementing a balance scorecard (BSC) approach in a fashion that reflects their organizational mission and vision. Although the BSC method has been used in the for-profit organizations for many years I believe that the CCRC has made a significant effort to ensure that it works for their organization. There was a lot of push back from the people who work at the center when it was first introduced, they believed it was just another quick-witted approach that would just fail, but as the new director of strategic management began to slowly improve the ability of the management to take a closer look and to start facilitating the implementation of BSC method to their organization. Since the BSC wasn’t designed for the not-for-profit rehabilitation center, it had to work quite a bit to try and incorporate the BSC in order for the organization to adapt quickly. CCRC has seen great benefits from adapting the BSC to the center but the greatest benefit maybe that many personnel within the center have noticed how much more encompassing that the strategic planning is and not solely focusing at a long-term plan.
In my older life, and particularly within my job role, this has taught me that I can be emphatic and sympathetic towards people. I have always been interested in history, including my own family history. When I was young, I would sit for hours on end listening to grandmas stories of her own background and where she came from. This has given me a sense of my own self and has taught me how to be a good listener with the people that I care for in my working life. My parents always showed great dignity and respect for other people, their own parents, aunts, and uncles.
Aaron Wichmann Final Proposal Program Planning 0466 / Professor Kuldulka MSU, Mankato 05-02-09 Summary “Stand Up For Seniors” is a non-profit organization that is designed to help senior residents in the Zumbrota area in a variety of daily living tasks. Since the inception of the program the scope has expanded to take on more and more services. One of the most requested services is that of sound financial management. “Cents makes Sense” is a program that will provide these services to our community. The need exists in our community to provide professional, sound advice to our expanding senior population.
There is an emergency shelter available to those who need immediate housing, legal council for those who need advice, and medical and social services are available for all who need them. In 1972 the Soft Landing Machine began for drug users who were coming down off a bad trip and needed services to help them cope. Runaway teenagers have been provided a shelter to stay to avoid abusive parents and not be forced to reunite with them or face legal issues for running away. Throughout all the changes and growths that have been made by Family of Woodstock, they have always worked towards advocating for those who need assistance. As time has changed, so has their scope to support any person in need.
While at excel in some of the areas and struggle in others, I know that they will all contribute to my success. I am only two weeks into my first class at Ottawa University and I can already notice a change in my thinking. I have been looking and thinking about things more critically and evaluating my interactions with my family and coworkers. So, even though the process may not be easy and may even be painful at times, I know that the benefits of a Liberal Arts education will overshadow all of the
-------- When Don Henson came to Mountainside Industries a year ago, he understood that his assignment was to bring about tighter coordination among its four divisions. The company had earlier experienced great success, but in recent years competition has become much more serious, and now Mrs. Hill, the owner, recognizes that the company must make its operations more efficient if it is to
Sam traveled with his aunt in 1892. He was to establish himself and send for others- mothers, siblings.” (Cohen 12). Like many people, America was the way to help stabilize and create a better living for his family. He goes on to say, “By eighteen, he had saved enough to send for his brothers and sisters […]” (Cohen 15). This was common, as most families could not afford to send everybody at once.
They lend a helping hand to all families who are in need of some type of support. Without organizations like United Way, North side Association for Community Development, Habitat for Humanity and Salvation Army, many families would be left out in the cold to suffer. It takes social initiative like these organizations to make the world go round and help people who are experiencing a difficult time in life. Although they help individuals in one way or another, they also have their differences. The difference of each organization is one focuses on building people’s lives and bringing them up to par, another builds homes at no cost, and one helps people who are in need of transportation or training of some sort to neighboring
For Heather, it meant that the humanistic theory is not inherited but done by interaction. For example, one needs to practice a lot in order to draw well. For Christine, this theory meant that people are always looking for ways to improve themselves whether it is internally or externally. For example, each New Year most people from all over make New Years’ Resolutions. These resolutions can be anything from quitting smoking to losing weight.
Another way to look at it is an old habit. Like that saying says, “Old habits die hard.” I could not agree more with that. We like it or not our parents take a big part on how we become as we grow older. Like on what food we like, what holidays to celebrate to maybe even the people we hang out with. Back in the day a lot of the minorities, Hispanics and black were seen as objects.
