Situated on the river Seine in northern France, Paris, the sophisticated and multi-ethnic capital city, is the most beautiful and romantic city on earth. Overflowing with historic connections and remaining very much influential in such areas like culture, fashion, food and art. Since Paris is located in Western Europe, it is typical for the weather to be cool in winter and warm in summer, however the city is known for its unexpected rain showers which can occur at any time of year. Winters tend to be very chilly with temperatures close to freezing point yet snow is not common in Paris. Summers in Paris are generally warm and pleasant to experience. Numerous iconic landmarks enrich the city, such as the world's most visited tourist site the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triumph, the Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Louvre Museum, Moulin Rouge and many more, making it the most popular tourist destination in the world not to mention Disneyland which is a holiday and recreation resort everybody dreams of visiting. It is very easy to get to the city since it is well connected to the rest of Europe. One can choose to get there by means of a plane, train, bus or even by a personal vehicle. Getting there is not the difficult part, getting around is the trickier part for one to enjoy the experience of this remarkable city to the full. There are many means of travelling around the city, but the best and cheapest way to get around Paris is on foot. Walking in Paris is one of the great pleasures of visiting the City of Light and there are numerous walking tours around Paris, whether self guided or with a touring guide.
