The Five People You Meet In Heaven The movie that I watched was The Five People I Meet in Heaven. It was about a man named Eddie’s life that was filled with many situations in his life that he didn’t really understand or know about until he had died. The movie starts off by showing a few events that had happened in Eddie’s life and then goes to his death. That is where the movie really begins. When Eddie died he went to heaven and met five different people that each have been in his past some way or another and all have something to teach him and allows him to complete and illuminate the past.
The film “The Five People You Meet in Heaven,” follows the death of a man named Eddie. Eddie felt that his life was a waste, that he didn’t do anything to be happy about. While trying to save a little girl from a falling amusement park ride, Eddie is killed. He is sent to heaven and meets five people that teach him a lesson about his life. The first person that Eddie meets in Heaven is The Blue Man.
Eddie was curious about how he died so he asked. The Blue Man told him that he killed him. Eddie was astonished, he thought he did not kill him. So, The Blue Man told Eddie the story. On Eddies birthday he got a baseball.
He appears to be lonely and sad, and he just lets the days pass by without a care in the world. He went through a rough childhood with his father being an alcoholic, and he got shot in the knee when he went into the army; could never walk the same way. The novel begins on Eddie's 83rd birthday, where unfortunately, that same day, he gets killed by a falling cart because of trying to save a little girl from being hit. He does not manage to get out of the way soon enough and dies. When he awakes in heaven, he meets five people who guide him and each person teaches him a lesson.
Eddie's father abused and acted rudely towards him. Eddie blamed his father for his problems to where he was at in his life. Eddie's death introduced the beginning of the book. After dying Eddie goes on a journey through heaven meeting five people who share the importance of sacrifice. As the beginning of Eddie's journey to heaven began, he first met "The Blue Man".
A medical examiner pronounces him dead. The cause of death is listed as ‘heart attack’” [Albom 43-44]. Eddie was nervous and had had no idea that he had killed the blue man when he was younger. The Blue Man finished his story and referred to Eddie as “Little Boy” [Albom 44]. Eddie was nervous as he realized he was the young boy who chased
The Five People in Heaven, written by Mitch Albom, is a story about a man named Eddie, a maintenance man who has worked at Ruby Pier his whole life. He dies while trying to save a young girl named Annie or Amy because a falling cart is about to land on her. When Eddie tries to save her, he feels two small hands grab him, but they aren’t Annie or Amy’s. These two hands pull him up to Heaven. When he arrives in Heaven, Eddie meets five people.
Someone else might finish this book with nothing changed at all. These are the lessons I learned and how I interpreted them. Like Eddie, I learned one or two things from every person he met in Heaven. The Blue Man helped me realize that we are all connected in one way or another. Without even knowing the Blue Man, Eddie had killed the him by running in the street when he was just a child.
His days are a dull routine of work, loneliness, and regret. Then, on his 83rd birthday, Eddie dies in a tragic accident, trying to save a little girl from a falling cart. With his final breath, he feels two small hands in his -- and then nothing. He awakens in the afterlife, where he learns that heaven is not a lush Garden of Eden, but a place where your earthly life is explained to you by five people who were in it. These people may have been loved ones or distant strangers.
Life of Pi tells the story of young Pi Patel, retelling his spiritual journey. Whilst doing so, he found himself in the midst of a tragic freak accident, which killed his immediate family onboard the Tsitsum. “The Ship sank....Every single thing I’ve valued in life has been destroyed.” (Martel, Life of Pi) With ship’s sinking, and Pi simply floating in a life boat, he has completed the first requirement for his Spiritual Journey; he’s been isolated away from society. Jesus has chosen to disconnect himself from society, due to his feeling that it was the right thing to do, as staying amongst people would cause too many distractions, and he would fail to do that which he had set out to do. And after fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry.
