Since the establishment of governments and their governing ideals, there have been deifiers that have coexisted with their founding. Many controversial events have occurred throughout the history of government; however certain events and occurrences have been covered by a haze of conspiracy. From the events that surround the assassination of the late president John F. Kennedy to the attempted cover up of the Watergate incident that occurred with the presidency of Richard Nixon. Governments have gone too far to dispose of those who have gone against them and their ways. This is what occurred during the events that incorporated the Rainbow Warrior and what would eventually lead to the demise of her. The Rainbow Warrior and the events that surrounded her eventual end are not only clouded by conspiracy, but also but injustice. The sacrifice of a life to the cry for dismissal from the international community, justice was short lived due to the response by that of the international community. The handling of the events surrounding the Rainbow Warrior by not only the French government, but also the international community frustrates and angers me to no end. Justice is what holds this society together, without justice we are lost and no better than that of animals. The incident that started the snowball of events that would eventually lead to the sinking of the Rainbow Warrior was that of Greenpeace protesting the nuclear testing that was being lead by the French near Muroroa Atoll, “On 7 July 1985 the Rainbow Warrior, flagship of the Greenpeace Organization, an international body concerned with conservation and environmental issues, arrived in Auckland and tied up at Marsden Wharf.”(The Rainbow Warrior Bombing) Few weeks prior to the docking of the Rainbow Warrior there was a lady by the name of Frederique Bonlieu, a volunteer from France who joined Greenpeace.
