The Bush Doctrine and Just War Theory 1- What is terrorism? Can we as a nation really wage a War on terrorism? Why or Why not? Terrorism can be express as an indiscriminate use of force in order to create fear. Terrorism is the intentional use of, or threat to use violence against civilians or against civilian targets, in order to attain political aims. Terrorism is being classified as illegal and morally wrong. Innocent people are being killed for no important reason that equal to life. While some people consider it a duty and that it’s okay to kill others, so they can gain what they want. I believe that terrorism is crime. I also believe that terrorists attack so they can prove how serious and tough they are in achieving what they want. They want others to fear and acknowledge that they will stop at nothing. After 9/11, most people were worried that they will attack us again. That created a massive effect on the nation. It’s just to create terror, so we can easily give in. The purpose to kill innocents’ people is not right to me. I don’t agree with the comment of any means necessary just to gain political values. I don’t think we can wage a war on terrorism. I believe that war should be the last option; therefore, I think we should prevent any attack from terrorist and be ready to fight. We can’t just go and fight if we don’t know who the enemies are. Conducting a war on terrorism will only make matter worse because war is not required all the times in order to gain peace. People seem to think that war brings peace, but we can’t have peace with
