A year-round, students have been doing their homework. When summer is approaching, teachers began to think of what type of homework/project to assign to the students. When assigning those homework’s, teachers should think about the major question: What’s the point of a break in the school year when homework is assigned? Like Inshan Alli from the Junior Scholastic article, I believe that kids’ need time to relax, play and spend time with their families. During the school year, students don’t have time to spend with their families or relax, because they have tons of homework in their face.

In fact, most students bring home an average of three or more hours of homework that has to be completed for the next day. Even parents would agree that the work pupils are assigned in the 21st Century is highly overwhelming and . It is extremely inappropriate to overload students with homework after a full day of school, because this leads children to stress and depression, it is a burden on parents and it leads to family conflict. When the classes are coming to an end and teachers announce the homework requirements, they believe that this work stuck behind more books and writing after school is over, will further their education. Piling on the homework will not help the students advance in school.
Also he skips too many classes, does not study, or reads the books as required for the course. From time to time, he falls behind classes and stays away more from classes. Even though, in the last weeks of the course, he tried studying for the final and he could not cover the whole course. He could not pass the class even with a C. A Waste of Time or a Real Health Benefit? At age 12, most children start their Monday mornings off the same way. It starts by getting up and dressed while trying to think of any possible reason to stay home and far away from school. But as we all know, the plans somehow do not work out and school becomes reality. Classes begin on time like they do every other day, and for the next few hours all that is looked forward to is the hour lunch and recess that seems so far away.

My experiences as a junior changed my entire outlook on my role as a student athlete and caused me to reevaluate my perspective on the things that were important to me. When school started on August 26, and all my teachers began to give daily quizzes based on the summer readings, I knew I was in trouble. I started to fall behind due to the amount of time required to complete each assignment, and I had to complete it for all four of my classes. I knew I wasn’t off to a good start of the school year. I was told that when you become a junior that’s when everything starts to get harder and you have to buckle down meaning no time for friends and really no weekend because it was going to require a lot of work, but I was sure that if I got through middle school, 9th and 10th grade that it would be no different than any other grade level class that I had taken already and passed.
