Since the population of children is growing 2% each year, our revenue will grow that same amount from year 1 to year 2 to year 3. 4.6% of TJ Maxx’s shoppers are mothers with children ages 4-8 so we already have a quantitative market. By the end of Year 3, TJ Maxx Toys will make $9 million in revenue for TJ Maxx and TJX as a whole. This is a profitable idea. I.
Providing opportunities for physical exercise is therefore essential for all ages” (Penny Tassoni, 2007, page 268) Furthermore a good example of a private setting is a Day Nursery. Private settings are paid by the parents/carers of the person attending. Usually Day Nurseries provide parents/carers the choice of 3 meals a day for their children; breakfast, lunch, dinner. Day Nurseries are for people with children that work early and/or finish late. Children’s ages vary from 6 weeks to 5 years old.
Unit 302 Know the structure of education from early years to post compulsory education Outcome 1 1.1 summarise entitlement and provision for early years education Since 2006 all children in the UK aged 3-4 years become entitled to receive a free 15 hours per week early years education for 38 weeks of the year. This is funded by the government to ensure all children have the opportunity to benefit from early years education for two years before reaching school age. If any childcare given exceeds the free 15 hours a week the parents/careers will have to pay any additional hours. Children under 5 years are also entitled to free milk/fruit once a day this provides children with a range of health benefits and social opportunities. There are many different organisations that provide childcare options for children 0-5 years old these include: Sure Start Children's Centres-They work with parents and children from birth offering health and family support, parenting advice, training and employment advice and provide early years education for children 0-4 years.
The average child now has over £17,000 worth of toys within their bedroom, more time is now spent with our children, and in 1975 it was 25 minutes in 2007 it was 95 minutes, there are classes on how to bring up your own child and adults now adapt their social life around the children. We can argue that society is actually now becoming a very selfish adult world, as we now have day care centres and babysitters so adults can go off and work or have fun without the worry of their children, both parents working, more parental separation and fertility rates going down 20% of females will not have children, proving that society is becoming more selfish for adults. Society is becoming more children centred as there is now more ways to protect our children, to extend their childhood, to make sure they are as comfortable as possible. An example of this would be the start of Childline by Esther Rantzen, checks on everyone who wants to start working with children for criminal records and anything that could harm their ability to work and the know how on how to react when a person hears about child abuse. Along with the protection for children, the prolonging of their education makes children stay younger for longer, it leaves them being more reliant on information and support for longer, this fits and supports that parents are trying to make their children as comfortable as possible they
There can be positive results emotionally, physically, and psychologically. Watching a well-balanced diet of educational programs and cartoons can have positive results emotionally, physically, and psychologically on a child’s mind and body. The first cartoon that I would like to mention is called “Dora the Explorer.” This cartoon is based on a female character that has a back pack and is always learning new adventures. This cartoon practices several different things with the children today, such as numbers, the alphabet, different languages such as English and Spanish. This cartoon also utilizes the children to count and remember things in interact with it.

Deb McGowan knows the power of clothes. She was among seven teachers from across the United States to win a fashion makeover this summer from Jones New York in the Classroom, which included a $1,500 clothes shopping spree in the Big Apple. McGowan, 52, has always been a sensible dresser, but this school year, the second-grade teacher at Earl Boyles Elementary has added some pizzazz to her wardrobe and to her spirit. Not only did the makeover boost her self-confidence, but it may bolster her students' attitudes as well. There is little research showing a correlation between teacher attire and student achievement or behavior, but some students and teachers across the Portland area believe it makes a difference.
Competency Statement 1 I believe a healthy and safe learning environment is the up most important aspect of any child care program. I designed our infant / toddler room with this age group in mine. Our main objective was to create a comfortable space for infants and toddlers to play and learn. Our furniture is smaller to allow use for mobile infants to learn the skills of sitting in a chair properly and what the table is used for. We create posters that have pictures of our activities that the infants and toddlers have done throughout the year.
Prime Time Nursery’s supports the children in a lot of ways by offering full day care for children up to the ages of 8 years old. They offer five healthy meals a day also making sure that individual needs are taken into account but the children are treated equally but fairly. Naseby Centre supports all children and families even if they have learning difficulties and/or disabilities or if they do not have English as an additional language. This shows that individual needs are also taken into consideration here. E3.. One main legislation in England that supports the rights of the children is the ‘Children Act 1989’.
The federal government helped create this half-day program for preschool children from low-income families. Head Start began as a summer pilot program that included an education component, nutrition and health screenings for children, and support services for families (CPE, 2007). In the 1960s only ten percent of the nations three and four year olds were enrolled in a classroom setting. Due to a large amount of people interested, and a lack of funding for Head Start, during the 1980s a handful of states started their own version of a program for students from low-income families. The positive success and effects of preschool meant many state leaders were showing interest in educational reform of these young students (CPE, 2007).
