Being successful inside and outside of the classroom is something I want to accomplish. Being a part of a community such as the honors college will give me additional motivation to be academically successful. I enjoy giving my time and services to others in need. I am always interested in volunteering, but right now I just do not know how. There are resources offered at the honors college I plan on taking advantage of, that offer exploring ways to help out in the community and on campus.
Dear: National Junior Honor Society Committee I currently represent the “Character” Trait of NJHS by being honest to others and very workable with my fellow peers. Many people rely on me as a very good person to come to in a great time of need. I deeply care for my family and other people. I also listen to others ideas to help improve their idea or to help make it a reality. I will use all of these characteristics to help this organization reach out to people in need.
What are you looking for in a university? In general, I believe a university should be able to help students achieve a strong foundation for their future in society and offer a place that is not only academically supportive but also spiritually, too. Some things I personally would like to see in a university is a school with a student body that has pride and spirit and a supportive community that backs it. I want some place where I can learn and grow as the individual I will become. People should want a college that sees their students as individuals not just a one of 20,000 or more in a crowd.
Ronaldo Pintado 10/26/13 Period 1 A.P European History The Scientific Revolution was a very important period in history that established new ideas in science and new views on the universe. This revolution didn’t just start in the 16th and 17th century. This went back as early as the Middle Ages. The reason is because as well as new ideas and discoveries were made, philosophers were also reexamining and revising old theories and data from the late Middle Ages and contributing it in their own work. During this revolution, there were many great philosophers who made incredible contributions to science and changed the way people look at the world around them.
LIFE EXPERIENCES As I have experienced many things in my life, I am now more prepared to go through my degree program because of my personal desire to be successful. I have the full support of my immediate family that matters most to me. Although I am just beginning on my journey to a degree with Ashford University, the staff has been very helpful and supportive in helping find the right program and get started on the right track. My previous school experience in the traditional setting, as well as, online has prepared me to continue my higher learning education
I appreciate that every course offers the opportunity for independent research, and that the faculty is open to student suggestions for improvement. The flexibility and patience of the faculty and the talent of the students makes Texas A&M a singular choice for my doctoral degree. My long-term goal is to use my past experience
Brittany Jordan English 095 YI Ms. White August 17, 2012 What motivates me to come to DCCC is achieving a goal that I always wanted and to become more successful with myself and make my parents very proud of me. Also I want to get my associates degree so that I can transfer into a four year university and become a paralegal or a psychologist so that can get all the things I ever wanted in life. Going back to DCCC this semester motivates me and for me to know that going back to school and getting my degree will help me get a better career and it will help me benefit my family in the long run. I can see myself making goals and visualizing me with my associate’s degree. I always prepare myself to things to come up and sometimes it slows
National Honor Society members have an outstanding performance in the areas of leadership, service, character and their academics. They must demonstrate a leader and model to others a person leaning towards success. Members must work well with others and be willing to give back to the community. Although, not only do they have to display leadership and service, but members express honesty, loyalty, courtesy, concern and respect within their character. The traits I have chosen for my personal character are applicable to me because I have always looked upon the characteristics of a successful person and I believe my personal character possesses the traits.
There have always been scientific advancements since the start of time. Some have been very beneficial but some had negative effects. Two such physicists, Max Planck and Albert Einstein, have contributed greatly to society. Planck discovered the equation, E=Nhf, while Einstein developed the theory of relativity. These rapid advances in science assisted in the development of technology, and they also affected human interaction with the environment on a grand scale.
