In groups of three or four, make a list of possible reasons that the actual ending inventory might not agree with the ending inventory according to a computer system. Jason Tierro, an inventory Jason Tierro, an inventory clerk at Lexmar Company, is responsible for taking a physical count of the goods on hand at the end of the year. He has been performing this duty for several years. This year, Jason was very busy due to a shortage of personnel at the company, so he decided to just estimate the amount of ending inventory instead of doing an accurate count. He reasoned that he could come very close to the true amount because of his past experience working with inventory.
This reduction is expected to be completed by January 31, 2012 and will approximately cost $3 million dollars. The cost of terminating employees shall not be recorded in the year ended December 31, 2011. ASC 420-10-25-4 says, “An arrangement for one-time employee termination benefits exists at the date the plan meets all of the following criteria and has been communicated to employees.” Following these guidelines we do not meet requirements, because we have not communicated to the employees the benefits they will receive upon termination and Pharma Co. hasn’t specified the job classification of the 120 employees. Otherwise, this cost will be recognized when incurred at fair
| During the 1st 3 months of my 1st placement I had to do a review of a support plan and develop a new one, I had not yet had training on this, so I asked my manager for help. He sat down with me and went through a support plan step by step and explained to me how Needs and Risk assessments link in to the goals the client might have. He then asked me if I had any questions I was still unclear on how to input interim goals. | This improved my knowledge of support plans and how they should be done, in turn having the knowledge of how support plans should be structured has improved the quality of my key-work sessions with my clients because I had a better understanding of what type of questions I needed to ask my client. It also gave me a better insight on how I had to assess there needs and risks.
Employment Law BUS 415 University of Phoenix William McKeown March 5, 2006 Employment Law Paper Since John DoeDoe’s administrative assistant left, he has been faced with a hard decision regarding who he will hire for a replacement. Mary Smith is familiar with the company; however this means she is also familiar with the “company gossip.” She is also thought to be a lesbian. The second candidate, John Jones has many years of experience in the administrative field and is requesting three thousand dollars per year less than Mary. However, Mr. Jones is in a wheelchair. Mr. DoeDoe must make a decision on a new administrative assistant, but the two candidates available leave many opportunities for someone to cry “discrimination.” Discussed here will be the possible discrimination issues for both candidates, and how the different cultures may play a role in these issues.
That gives the company who has contracted us 30 days to pay. Here is the reason this is an issue and not a problem, if this was a problem it should be solvable in a few steps but this is something that is dealt with repeatedly. The patience aside from being frustrated can be consistent lesson in self-control. When a customer does not pay on time it affects the total operation of the company because it causes a ripple effect in the financial state of the company. After careful consideration, myself and my senior staff brainstormed and developed a three step system to resolve the issue of getting the customer to pay as close to the due date as possible.
The EHC will receive $2,300,000 from managed care companies and Medicare in three months, but the shortfall at the business must be resolved first. To achieve this, we must determine two cost cutting measures. A loan option must be identified as well. The cost cutting options we have at EHC are reducing benefits, reducing agency staff, downsizing staff, reducing length-of-stay, or changing the skill mix (University of Phoenix, 2015). To achieve a cost saving target of $750,000 for the first quarter the first cost cutting measure I selected is reducing a proportion of the agency contracted staff.
Melissa Day HRM 587 Professor Stone Week 2 Images of Change November 8, 2013 Change frequently occurs in a company. That change can manifest itself in a change in leadership-like a new CEO, downsizing due to structural reordering, or acquiring new companies to improve business output and diversifying ones product line. From an employee (and for some members of management) standpoint change can cause fear and stress, because change shakes people from where they were comfortable and it asks them to do something different, something they may be uncomfortable with-however, the only constant in life (both personal and professional) is change. For my project, I have selected two companies that have undergone changes throughout the past year:
To: Angela Drexel, Vice President From: Danielle Sparks Date: April 9, 2014 Subject: Proposal for creating, implementing, maintaining, and updating policies and procedures Attached is my proposal for creating, implementing, maintaining, and updating policies and procedures policies and procedures. I have worked for this company for three years and I notice there is discord daily, employees are trying to figure out what to do and what not to do. There are many days where the office is in total disarray because employees are confused. Management does what they want to do, when they want to do it, and how they want do it; meanwhile, employees are picking up the same traits. The office has been in complete chaos for a while.
Weekly line and quality report – this report allows me to see how my team or individual was performing the previous week and what the quality grade was. This report is made by the quality manager and provided to us on the first day of the week. Operations report – this report shows how many clubs we shipped in total. This report includes different departments and shows how long it takes for order to be loaded into the system and passed to the production team and how long it took to produce and ship that order. This is a very useful report, because if a lead time of 3 days is not met I can identify which department or member of staff was at fault.
Courtney Freeman Christine Nicodemus English 1100 Section 113 19 September 2013 Barcott Journal 4 1. Choose at least three quotes that caught your attention. After each quote, write a paragraph analyzing a) what the quote means in the context of the pages you read (110-141) and b) what the quote means in the context of the whole book so far. “If my premonition played out and I was dead by age thirty, my time was running out.” (p. 114) The author in this particular quote is talking about how he feels like he needs to get the CFK organization up and going because for some reason he feels like he won’t make it past the age of thirty. I think he feels like the organization is his way of doing something for the world because he, at the
