Firstly Andrew and Myuran had made a drug rehabilitation centre in the prison that has turned a lot of people around and towards a new life. Andrew became a minister who focused on counselling and he became a mentored for his fellow inmates. Myuran became an artist who focused to establish a drug counselling program and he was teaching his fellow inmate’s jobs skills like computer work and graphic designing, for when they get out of prison. MONTREAL - Two Hells Angels associates have been charged in the severe beating of an off-duty Montreal police officer at a Mexican nightclub in January. Marc-Andre Lachance, 28, and Shane Kenneth Maloney, 34, were arraigned Friday. The officer was beaten so badly that most of his facial bones were broken. The case is unusual because Canadian courts rarely hear cases in which the events took place on foreign soil. The officer, who is not being identified to protect his cover, was attacked in Cancun.
After he escaped john tried to rescues his friends from prison. On his first jail break john Dillinger broke 10 of his former prison mates from the Indiana state jail. John Dillinger went to jail right before he got them out. He gave the prisoners guns and they got him out of jail too. During the jail break the prisoners killed the sheriff.

In this case regarding the Pelican Bay Prison, the location (the prison) causes the prisoners to develop more criminological tendencies and behavior. Gangs, in general, cause an individual to become more deviant and violent. This video supports the idea of social structure theory due to the environment changing the individual, and them being content with the lifestyle. After seven days of jury deliberation, on April 29, 1992, all four officers were acquitted of the charges they were facing. The African-American community in Los Angeles had already felt strongly that the police were guilty of racial profiling and abuse. Immediately following news of the trial, thousands of people in the Los Angeles area began rioting, which lasted for six days and ended up being one of the biggest riots in history in the United States, later became known as the “1992 Los Angeles Civil Unrest” and “Rodney King Uprising”. Fifty-three deaths, over two thousand people injured, and property damages of close to one billion dollars were just some of the unfortunate events caused during these six days of rioting. After six days, the U.S. Army, the Marines, and the National Guard were able to restore

In 1967, the night of New Years, several plain clothed police officers infiltrated the Black Cat Tavern. After arresting several patrons for kissing to celebrate the occasion, the police officers began beating several of the patrons and ultimately arrested 16 more bar attendees which included 3 bartenders. This created a riot in the immediate area, ultimately bringing about a more civil demonstration of over 200 attendees several days later protesting the raids.

The officers pulled him out the car and beat him brutally while a resident caught it all on tape. Four LAPD officers were indicted with charges, however, after a year of trial, a white jury acquitted the officers. That decision sparked violence in all of Los Angles. Chaos surrounded the city, infuriated mobs roamed the streets, and several citizens were injured, dead, and arrested.
They were placed into a bull pen. It was a large double cell, which had sixteen beds in bunks and a table at which to eat. After a week, the prisoners decided to add pressure by starting a hunger strike. It was very successful because after 5 days, the city and county jail were getting bad press about the hunger strike so they moved the freedom riders to the infamous “Parchman Farm”, the State Penitentiary. They were Maximum Security Unit where the death row and electric chair were.
Victimization is a consistent theme that is first demonstrated through the character Tom Robinson. Tom Robinson faced a great amount of abuse by the citizens of Maycomb. During his rape trial, Tom Robinson was discriminated against while he took the stand. “ ‘Strong enough to choke the breath out of a woman and sling her to the floor?’ ” (Lee, 196). Mr. Gilmer, the prosecutor, used Tom’s race and physical strength to imply that Tom was just another stereotypical black man who targeted a fair skinned female.
