Those people suffered badly and eventually died. Because of this, many children fought their lives without their fathers, which led to families’ financial problems. Economically, many labourers got drunk and so they could not perform the job properly. The absence from work each week was very high, therefore the company was less efficient. The company could not afford to produce the same products in the time that they should and the industrialists were not satisfied.

Several contemporary concerns impacting criminal justice professionals are, stress, finances, the economy, their family and friends, health and job security. I say stress because so many things can stress a person out this line of work. During this time public law enforcement officials were having a great deal of trouble maintaining a secure-safe level of order and peace throughout most of the communities because of the increasing crime rates. Public law enforcements inability to protect and serve brought a great deal of negative attention and scrutiny upon most police departments. In return, this labeled law enforcement as an ineffective-inadequate means of protection. The failure of the police was the leading factor that gave Pinkerton the ideology to establish a private security business that would be capable of handling certain situations the public law enforcement previously had failed. In 1850, Pinkerton founded the Pinkerton National Detective Agency and contracted with a variety of businesses and employed a group of individuals who were assigned to work the night shift as night watchmen to protect these businesses.
Nicholas Bloom, Author of Public Housing that Worked, acknowledges the skepticism of most Americans in saying,“Across the country public housing projects are being demolished at a record pace largely because most Americans believe that public housing has no chance of succeeding.” So why is public housing failing? And what will be done before thousands more Americans are left homeless. Public housing has created reliance on the government, unsafe living conditions, and large concentrations of poverty. Everyday events and common occurrences inside public housing would shock many, due to the high volume of violence. Also shocking is the high prevalence of health issues.
But the workers who luckily got the job were not getting paid enough, so they were not able to support families, and this in turn caused child labor. People began to send their children to work because that extra income means a lot in terms of sustenance to the whole family. A few families are starving and cold because they lost everything they own in this economic depression. The reason is because rich people won’t spend a few of their dollars to help our economic situation while the poor put forth everything they had. I believe that it would be in the world’s best interest if state governments would hire thieves to steal from the rich and give to the poor.
Poor people live in poor neighbor hoods so it explains that there is a lot of risk associated with living in these areas. The violence levels and theft levels are very high in the said areas do to the fact people do not have enough money to purchase thing they need, and usually are angry at others
The economy of the United States is currently in a recession, if not depression. Many people on unemployment are unable to find jobs to support their families. The media capitalizes on the misfortune of so many, and stirs the pot by talking about the amount of illegal aliens that live and work within our borders. There are states that have implemented strict terms for employers when hiring new employees. South Carolina is one of those states that threaten businesses that do not properly
Because many people feel that they alive yet dead, not being able to do as they want, always having to answer to someone else, tired of living in poverty and feeling there is no hope for a better life. They get caught in the people trafficking. The USA estimates that there are between 700,000 and four million persons trafficked across international borders, with some 50,000 of them to the US. Mostly women are caught up in these rings because they are used as prostitutes, domestic servants, and sweat shops, etc. They have been promised a new life but received unsafe and unhealthy working conditions and the risk of AIDS and other STDS.
The younger generation People in Fort William are always saying 'Och the younger generation are chaos creating hooligans that cause distress and trouble in the community. These people that are supposedly involved in crime are somewhat of a bad stereotype for young people. Such problems are caused by many factors but the most concerning to me is that young people have very few things to do. All because the government spends very little on facilities. There is also too much bad press on young people as a result.
