Mitt Romney Election Season: A Look at President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney In the year 2012, almost everyone is interested in who the President of the country will be because they all seem to want the person that cares about the people more. Among the many politicians, President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney are this year’s nominated candidates for the presidency.
The economy in his perspective is in a depression. His general goal is to “revive the economy”. He defended the “New deal” program that was developed by Franklin D. Roosevelt when he served as our president. Obama’s 1st major speech on foreign policy was given on April 23rd, 2007. He has 5 main foreign policy goals: -ending the war in Iraq responsibly and peacefully.
Senator John McCain has many strengths as well as weaknesses. Some people who would normally vote republican are voting for Obama because they want change. McCain is republican and has has many of the same views and plans as President Bush. Most people are looking for a change and believe that McCain is just going to give America more of the same, which is not what this

He was the Republican Party's nominee for President of the United States in the 2012 election. Raised in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, by his parents Lenore and George W. Romney, Mitt Romney spent two and a half years in France as a Mormon missionary starting in 1966. He married Ann Davies in 1969, with whom he has had five children. By 1971, Romney had participated in the political campaigns of both his parents.
Ashley White November 16, 2009 Political Rhetoric Obama vs. McCain In the 2008 Presidential election there were two candidates nominated to fight to run the country. One of the candidates was John Sidney McCain III, who was nominated by the Republican Party, and the other candidate was Barack Hussein Obama II, who was nominated by the Democratic Party. In this essay the national-convention speeches given by both candidates are analyzed. The analysis of these speeches focuses on the concept of America that both candidates present. Both candidates have rhetoric for each of their speeches and sway their audiences in a different manner.
When a presidential election occurs it is the Electoral College’s votes that truly pick the next president. Caucuses are party meetings by precinct, district, or county, where registered party members gather to discuss the candidates and to select delegates to the next round of party conventions. Causcuses are held in geographically large but thinly populated states, and whilst they aim to achieve the same goals as primaries. In the 2012 election, 12 states exclusively held caucuses and 36 states held only primaries. While caucuses have a long history in American politics and hold some advantages over primaries, some critics believe they are not as democratic. A merit of this process lay in the fact that whilst turnout is low, those who are committed to the result of the election do turn out.
Bill Clinton versus George bush Former president Bill Clinton’s supporting Barack Obama speech and current president George Bush’s acceptance speech both opened up with a standing ovation all though bill Clinton’s lasted a bit longer. The fact is that every president that has been elected since John F. Kennedy has been associated to these groups and votes in favor to help these groups stay in power. The presidential position has turned into a puppet position. Most ideas of how to help this country and world directly stem from the Wall Street executives themselves. What was once hidden from the public to prevent backlash, is being openly shown to the public now. By this I mean a new world order.
