The Monster had done nothing to deserve what Victor has put him through, so the fact that the Creation turns on Victor was perfectly normal. Victor has no respect for his creation, abandoned him, and causes him to turn on his creator therefore, making him the real monster. The monster does not deserve the behavior he gets from Victor. He treats his creation like property when the Monster deserves to be treated normally. If parents would respect their children more then cases like Victors creation would be much
Fighting is never the answer. Greasers have always had it the hard way but when they stick together things turn out to be okay. (compound sentence) They all have hearts of stone. (metaphor) They have to deal with stereotypes and they never fit in. They do not have families that care about them or want them.
The battle was between the only good left on the island (represented by Ralph) and the evil of dictatorship. The boys had turned into lawless animals, and were going crazy. The boys were so uncivilized, one boy forgot his own name. “Percival Wemys Madison sought in his head for an incantation that had faded clean away”. Ralph had tried to have a list of names, but Jack didn’t even bother.
They feel the need to because no one else will. That line of thought normally comes from having parents who constantly disapprove and ignore their children. They don’t feel like they can escape so some children turn to imaginary friends, others to bad behaviors, and others to self-love, or narcissism. A child being taken away from their parents does more to their mind than anyone can imagine. And children don’t know how to coop so they do the best the can.
Personal relations and bonding have been replaced by this artificial drug. John “the savage”, who has been raised outside of the confinement of the Hatchery, has an extremely different view of things than those raised in the captivity and has a difficult time trying to inform and convince the others of their society’s foibles. There is a lacking of art and creativity that John perceives as fatal to their humanity. This causes great confusion in John’s mind because he doesn’t understand or agree with the principles that the others have been conformed
None of them took the time to care. They all experienced problems with him and fought to have him expelled from school. All he needed was adult praise and approval. Nobody would help him evolve into life and build his confidence. He needed to be treated as if he was a part of the community and maintains an ability to make a difference.
Naruto as a child was either feared and hated by others, and because of that he wasn't able to get much attention. Naruto's jokes or rather his pranks served as a source of attention needing, causing trouble throughout the village was his only way of getting it. I guess Naruto wanting to become hokage was a part of this, to become accepted by others and to help those in need.
This meant that he had to be the opposite of what his father was; he couldn’t bare even being a hair alike. By this becoming his purpose Okonkwo lost many qualities, and moments of his life that made him become instead of respected; feared. Okonkwo had the inability to form any sort of relationship with his family, friends, and even including himself. “Okonkwo never showed any emotion openly, unless it is the emotion of anger. To show affection was a sign of weakness; the only thing worth demonstrating was strength” (pg 28).
Paul stubbornly refuses the aid which could make his life superficially normal, (an artificial limb,) and surrenders himself stubbornly to his incapacity. Rayment is set up for us almost as a caricature of the man without qualities. He is cold, affectless, mean-spirited: All in all, not a man of passion. He is not sure he has ever liked passion, or approved of it. Passion: foreign territory; a comical but unavoidable affliction like mumps, that one hopes to undergo while still young, in one of its milder, less ruinous varieties, so as not to catch it more seriously later on.
Vast numbers of them don’t want to go to college, don’t want to pursue careers, don’t want to get married, and don’t want to take on any serious responsibilities. Of course, there are always exceptions. In fact, there are some young men out there that are absolutely outstanding. However, in fact our system has risen up a crop of young men that are generally weak, directionless, simplified, and unwilling to take responsibility. Men that are between 21 and 34 should be in their prime working years.
