Family Guy: Funny or Inappropriate, or Both Family Guy is a cartoon show on T.V. that mocks events in the world that are going on today. Family Guy is well known for its incredibly frequent use of flashbacks where the episode switches from the main storyline to explain a previous event. Although they usually only last a few seconds, they provide hilarious (and often random) gags and contribute to the unfamiliar rhythm of the episodes. Many critics say that the show doesn’t really have a story line, and is just a bunch of one liner’s that are either hit or miss. However, people can argue this by citing different episodes where a storyline is shown that carries over from episode to episode (for example Stewie’s many attempts at trying to kill his mom are a storyline in itself) It’s a controversial show that people may find funny, disturbing, or both. The show has been argued, and is still being argued as whether or not it should be on the air. There are a couple different points of view; some people say that the show does a good job of incorporating sarcasm into the plot, where others say that the show go to far with some of their jokes. Should the show remain on T.V? It’s hard to say. The show has six main characters: Peter Griffin his wife, Lois Griffin ; and their three children: Meg Griffin, a college misfit; Chris Griffin, the mentally-slow art student; Stewie Griffin, who abandons his plot for world domination to kill Lois ;and Brian the alcoholic dog who has the most sense in the family. These six characters mesh together well, and feed off of each others humor to make the show funny. In Family Guy in each episode they have a couple of different guest characters. These characters can range from celebrities to sports figures, or to stereotypes of different races, classes, or religious groups. People can find these stereotypes as either humorous,
