Beth who is the mother and their three children Honey, Ben and Grace. They decide to move to L.A. to try and get some jobs for Dan, because their current money situation isn't that well. They can barely manage at the current time. The day where Dan is going to a casting, he would rather be by himself and wait alone at Starbucks. However Beth wants to go, because she doesn't have the energy to be alone in the house anymore with the children. As the youngest child Grace smatter one Oreo biscuits out on Dan's suit, he becomes angry, but he agrees anyway to take his entire family into town. The casting seems to be going well, until Dan comes to talking too much about his family and the castig ends. Whens Dan comes back to his family, who is waiting at Starbucks. He gets a call from his manager, who will have his seven-year-old daughter to play a role. Dan had hoped he had been selected to play a role, and he chooses not to thanks yes, but instead to play with his children. (209 words) Dan is a caring father and actor. He is very complex and he suffers from great diffidence. He is not very improvising and is scared of taking chances. As much as his wife believes in him to be able to make it in the business, as little does he believe in it himself. When Beth suggests that they all move to L.A he doesn't want to go. He'd rather stay in the UK so he can ”...blame her forever for holdning him back... ” and ”...for making it impossible to realise his dreams...” Already then we see that he is lacking self-confidence and the fact that he does know it. He then changes inflection though and does agree with her idea which shows that he is not all a wreck but also has somewhat hopes left.
