Colonists were provided with even more reason to practice their religion and continue their work in America for a better, more liberated life. England's success at colonizing, what would become the United States, was due in large part to its use of charter companies. Charter companies were groups of stockholders, usually merchants and wealthy land owners, who sought personal economic gain. While the private sector financed the companies, the King provided each project with a charter conferring economic rights as well as political authority. The colonies generally did not show quick profits.
THE CRUSADERS AND THE CHURCH The crusades represent a part of church history that many have attempted to forget and leave hidden within the history books. Some claim the crusades to be a courageous time for the Christian church as they attempted to trample out false doctrine and protect the Holy Land from the cult of Islam. Others will quickly identify the crusades as the darkest and most regretful period of time in the history of the church. Either way, there is much detail surrounding the history of the crusades and how they developed. It is not quite as easy as a black and white assumption because many of the men involved had mixed intentions and sentiments regarding what the crusades were actually about.
His success in the Protestant Reformation inspired the Catholic Reformation within the Church. The Council of Trent and the Society of Jesus were formed to address problems and modernize the Roman Catholic Church. There are several reasons earlier Reformations were not able to have the same impact as Luther did. Most earlier message's were not able to survive and be heard because there was no way to efficiently

The Crusades were pivotal events in world history. They were categorized as the end of the medieval time period. The crusades brought so many different changes to Europe in many different ways. One of the reasons behind the crusades would be when the government wanted to free the holy land from the Muslims; this all began in Europe. It's only sense to know that the medieval rulers and Christians would unite against a common opposition.
The Crusades were a series of holy wars fought between the Christian and the Muslim for control of Jerusalem and the area near it. However, while salvation and redemption in the eyes of God were major reasons for starting these crusades as seen in doc. 1 and 2 which promise absolution of the sins of the fighters, there were many secular reasons for fighting the Crusades which include possessing more prosperous land which is exemplified in doc. 6 and 7. Doc.
It lead to the Latin west taking precious relics home and advocating their victory which they believed God had proclaimed to them, however Pope Innocent III debarred their actions and accused them of losing their purity and faith. The Crusades were informed by chivalric and religious ideals about the sanctity of certain types of violence throughout all crusades however the later crusades were a contradiction with horrible atrocities, attacks with the only purpose of wealth and fighting and attacking Christians. The Pope led a similar role to the Roman Emperor; he led wars, controlled taxes, gave others power, and gave out land. Because Catholoism was the main religion in the Roman Empire, following the fall of Rome, many Romans felt tied to only their religion. This led to the Roman Catholic Church having a wide based group of followers who would do anything to be seen as good and eventually go to heaven. This is illustrated in the Crusades, a series of Holy Wars, where the pope was able to use the population of Western Europe’s fear of not going to heaven and manipulating it. Telling them that whatever they do in the name of the holy land and church will be overlooked by God.
There was a period where the aggressive and hostile papacy came into conflict with empires and monarchs that led to the East-West Schism of 1054. The papacy made strides to gain its independence from secular rulers. This was helped by the fact that the church was marshalling for the use of armed forces by Christians. The result of this was very intense and led to the increase in Christian piety and the interest of taking the Palestine from Muslims using the notion of “Just War”. The core of this school of thought was that non-Christians needed not to be forced to accept the religion or should they be physically humiliated for having a different faith apart from Christianity.
However, I believe that three events have had a deeper influence than others. First of all, the life of Abraham is one of these because he was promised the Covenant, was the first Jew, and is the Father of Judaism. Secondly, the destruction of the Second Temple concluded an era that in time gave space for Christianity and the form of Judaism we know today, the Rabbinic one. Finally, the flourishing of Medieval Jewish philosophy was important because it gave Jews the understanding that science and Religion could coexist. Also, it gave them a philosophy of life that allowed them to connect to other societies.
