I remember looking down into the water and seeing a crab nestled on a rock. There were Buskers playing piano accordions, and the music followed us as we walked down the boardwalk. It was the perfect day to visit the ocean for the first time. The city is surrounded by tall, thick, green trees; slowly changing color to yellow and orange. As a child, every fall, my parents would take me and my siblings camping.
Over the holidays, my family went to the Sunshine Coast. We went to the beach every single day. Almost every day we saw Blue Bottles on the sand. I would like to tell you a little bit about Blue Bottles. Did you know that the Blue Bottle is also known as the Portuguese Man Of War.
Summer 2011 July and August Myrtle Beach So the first week of July my best friend Katelin takes me to myrtle beach. The drive down there was long but worth it. It was about a 14 hour drive. We stayed at a small condo thing that was just a street way from the beach. It had a pool, a volleyball court, and a basketball hoop.
Whether you are walking through the tunnel or stand in front of a huge acrylic viewing window, you will feel as if you are a scuba diver in an endless blue sea, because you are mesmerized by thousands of fish swimming overhead. From the tunnel, you will follow a path around to a theater style portal where you can seat and enjoy the view or you can exit the
Running head: DIAGNOSTIC ESSAY Nyree Reid English Composition 1 (GSC1244B) Professor: Christopher Brown November 6, 2012 My favorite topic of discussion is a favorite location that was memorable. I traveled to Florida for several years to visit family members. As a child I enjoyed the atmosphere I viewed in Florida getting off the airplane. My family decided to move to Florida when I was twelve years old. As a child I visited Florida every holiday and a year later my mother decided to move to Florida.
People come from all over the island to dive here, since the water is extremely clear allowing you to see all the different sea life. When the tide is low, small tide pools are created. My children can spend numerous hours playing in the pools. They’re either looking at all the colorful fish that are trapped or just sitting in the pools, cooling off from the hot Okinawa sun. Sometimes they get overly excited going from one pool to another and slip on the coral reef, which can put a damper on all the fun.
When I went with my dad, we stayed in a beautiful hotel on the beach. The first night we got ice cream and walked out on the beach. The sand felt cold and soft on my bare feet. The best feeling of all is feeling the sand between my toes. We didn't stay on the beach long, we all wanted to get a good nights sleep.
After sitting in a van for 16 hours driving in the summer heat, my crew and I finally made it to Orlando, Florida. As we unload our luggage to enter our bright blue resort room in Disney World, I hear loud music and dancers practicing all over the place. I enter the room with my best friend and a surge of happiness and excitement suddenly rushes through our bodies. This is it, my crew and I have made it to the biggest competition event dance could hold, Worlds 2011. Day 1.
Sarah Campbell English composition 101 2/28/12 My Very First Trip to Florida Keys My very first trip to the Florida Keys, Started with a long Nineteen hour drive; full of many pit stops, and rest stops. When I arrived at the house we had rented along the island. The sandy beach met the water, and made it look like something out of a fairy tale. It was around 3.30 in the morning; I quickly unpacked the car, and headed to bed. The first days of my visit had me Awestruck, but sadden to leave.
The day started off much like any other day. Dave picked me up at around ten o’clock so that we could head to our job at Neptune’s Net on this Sunday morning. A few of us would carpool in order to share expenses. The commute was almost a half-hour each way but we didn’t mind because it was one of the most beautiful drives you could take just about anywhere in America. The bulk of the drive consisted of a curvy stretch of highway that followed the coast of southern California.
