Ronda’s Newsletter Mom and Dad The most passionate thing in my life is family, especially my parents. They have been married for 52 years and they continue to show me and my brothers what real love and dedication is. My mom had a brain aneurysm that left her paralyzed on the left side and minimal brain issues. My dad is her sole care giver. I think they are more in love with each other today than when they first married.
My cousin Nicole was born in 1986 and the reaction of my grandfather is caught on home videos. The expression of love and high emotions were brought out of him at that time. The other cousin was born soon after and after long years of somewhat depression of his children moving out and his parents dying was suddenly erased. “He seemed a much happier and loving man that I always remembered he was.” says Aunt Jenny. “The years where his grandchildren were born was really in my sense, the prime of his life.” Home videos of me as a baby and Da’dooch together are proven facts that him and I bonded well even though I was a young
She was the oldest out of eight siblings; she had both 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Due to the many siblings she had, she wasn’t able to attend college, thus being able to meet my grandfather Clearance in the year 1955. Together they had a total of six kids, in which my grandmother stayed home and cared for them, while my grandfather open and ran his own personal construction business. Much is to be said about my grandmother, but I could talk days on end about her. She is by far one of the most influential people in my life, her hard-work and optimism are just two of the things I admire most about her.
The actual ground war in Desert Storm lasted about 6 weeks and Vietnam lasted well over 10 years. In Desert Storm the American military was well prepared and had superior weapon technology and training. In Desert Storm there was an easily identified “bad guy”. (p.285) Childhood upbringing and structured life has a huge impact on one lifestyle and behavior as an adult. The situations we grow through as a child develop our character. In Sonny Blue’s the two brothers experienced a lot of struggles throughout their childhood which impacted their life. John majors government came into office after the downfall of Margret Thatcher, which ultimately created divisions within the party. Not only did the party suffer from the internal conflict but also faced the problems of the recession after the ‘Lawson boom’. In order to stabilise the economy he joined the ERM getting a good deal but ultimately resulting in ‘black Wednesday’ causing Major to raise interest rates to 15%. This was political suicide and he soon lost the support of the press we had once relied so much on to get re-elected in 1992. Such an atrocity rattled the very core of the American people. This massacre took the whole world by surprise and drew massive media attention. This moved Henry Kissinger to attempt to organize another peace talk with the North Vietnamese but this too failed. The Vietnam War had produced many political, social and military disasters for America. Lyndon Johnson kept spending money on the war without adequate funds to pay for the expenses.
The Great Depression didn't just end all at once. Many countries continued to suffer extreme poverty long after the governments declared the depression was over. When banks and businesses were forced to close down, it left millions of hardworking individuals without jobs and that then caused them to suffer financial hardship. With no way to earn money, many people could not pay their bills or buy food and needed help from the government to survive. The public were begging for some sort of program that would help them recover and hopefully gain back what they had lost.
