I think that long test and other guidelines that are drawn out does interfere with the homeless want and need to seek help. If barriers were lower and the standards were lower more homeless people who seek help and want to get their alcohol problem under control. Not all the homeless want or need help but there r a lot of them that is a afraid of the outcomes that comes along with seeking help from housing agencies and government programs. If a person has a reason to do better they will at least try. The studies showed that if the barriers were lower more homeless would want to and will go to housing agencies for help instead of living on the streets.

An attorney can reveal information only regarding the crime the defendant is being accused of not any other information about other crimes that they have not been accused of. The attorney is actually obligated to NOT reveal other information that does not pertain to the crime of accusation. If the attorney believes reasonably that their client is intending to commit a crime they are legally obligated to reveal that
Drugs can be a normal practice within a sub culture where there is a rejection of the usual rules of the society. This can have a two fold effect. Firstly, it can lead to more punitive policies to counteract this but secondly, it implies that for a large number of people drug use is normal (Blackman, 2004). Recent researches have shown that recreational use of drugs is not necessarily a short term activity or experiment linked to peers, but is an activity that endures. Further more young adults start the habit without using during their adolescence and others who had stopped decided to restart when older (Parker et al., 1998) The normalization of drug use has huge implications for social work profession.

This created the M’Naghten rule, which held that a man is not responsible for his criminal acts, when, because of a “disease of the mind,” he does not know the “nature and quality” of his acts or does not know they are “wrong.” The courts used the M’Naghten rule for some time as the determination factor in cases where the insanity defense was their plea. Because of its broad definition and criteria, the M’Naghten rule adopted many forms over the years. Cases like Durham v. United States help the rule form the “product of mental illness” approach. The test named Durham product test created an assessment for insanity based on a substantial lack of mental capacity
Formulate a verbal hypothesis statement concerning cross addictions, substitute addictions, and addiction transfer. Psychologists have helped to expose the struggles of addicts; no longer is recovery a major issue on the journey to sobriety, but the resistance to avoid new addictions is an additional struggle plaguing their lives. Addiction is a brain disease. Charles Graham, the program manager at Sober Living by the Sea (an addiction treatment center) states, “When a person gets clean and sober from one drug and then encounters stress or anxiety, the probability of resorting to another drug having the same effect” (Vivo, 2012). The transference of one addiction (like alcoholism) to another addiction (such as drug addiction) is known as addiction transfer in the discipline of psychology.
Probation may have been a good idea when it was first went into effect but, I do not feel that probation is structured and does not work for the most part. I feel probation is controlled by politics. I think probation is given to reduce the problem of overcrowding. I also feel that when there is not enough evidence but the judge has to reprimand to look good in the eyes of society that probation is offered. In the future, I feel probation programs should be changed and only offered to first time offenders or crimes that are considered low on the poll.
