In a classroom setting you have direct social interaction engaging with the instructor and other students. However you could be limited in learning by how the instructor teaches the material. If there is a subject that the instructor is not fond of they could gloss over it or make it sound not so important by the tone use to teach the material. In an online course an outline of the curriculum is provided but the learning technique is up to the student on how that material is learned. The instructor guides the student to learn for themselves but provides information along the way.
As a teaching assistant I have to ensure that the appropriate resources are available, also with working with SEN students as appropriate, I need to ensure that there is differential work available as all work set in lessons is usually to a generic standard. I would achieve this by prior discussion with the teacher that will be delivering the lesson. The school would need to inform students they should expect having little privacy while using the school’s computers as they are routinely monitored. They can be monitored in various ways, including the usage of software programs and technical monitoring tools, which allows remote monitoring of the computer screen as well as the following communication patterns. Staff monitoring is another method in which student computer use can be observed. It is suggested all staff members who utilize computers and the internet consistently should undergo professional development training to become aware of students behaviors which may indicate inappropriate computer use (Willard 2007b). Another way to supervise on campus internet use and hold students accountable is to require them to print their browsing history at the end of their computer session.
The works cited page should include your interview(s) and any other outside source(s). You also need to use in-text citations whenever you quote or get information from your outside sources.
