While Treadwell gained some fame for his work, the public's real fascination was with the man behind the work. This fascination led Werner Herzog to create a compelling documentary titled Grizzly Man. Werner Herzog attempts to pull apart the mystery surrounding Treadwell's life to reveal the man Timothy Treadwell was in his documentary Grizzly Man. Laced throughout Herzog's documentary are video clips made by Treadwell himself. These video clips are an important part of Herzog's documentary because they allow the viewer to see Treadwell as he saw himself, and allow the viewer to create their own opinions of Treadwell.
Contrary to his unwavering independence in technique and style Spike Lee has taken on the challenge of film remake. Remaking a movie is always tricky, particularly when the original has an already strong following. The 2013 remake of the Past Chan-wook’s classic, Old Boy had Lee’s critics wondering why he engaged in such a dark film. When Chan-wook’s Old Boy hit theatres in 2003, it was praised for its unique structure, it’s magnificent and action packed fight scenes, and it’s visual flair, making Spike Lee a very bold choice to adapt the film for an American audience. It’s not a shot for shot remake of the original or the 2003 version, but like Chan-wook’s version, it’s graphic so don’t watch this on a fall stomach.

How many of the events portrayed on the show actually take place? Do they really film the show from these exotic locations that they are allegedly filmed at or do they have a set in Los Angeles somewhere, ninety percent (just a guess, no actual evidence to back this) of the stunts performed on the show could just as easily have taken place in a park in the middle of the city? Everything Speight writes about the way reality television is made totally makes me think the editors of the show just film the contestants for a given time period and then take enough of the clips to make a show that they think will attract viewers interests. Writers of these reality shows have to be very clever and hard working people. To be constantly recording and monitoring what reality TV actors or actresses are saying and trying to craft the perfect interview questions to get the answers they need to get to obtain a catchy and entertaining story line that will keep viewers coming back for more episode after episode.
Unlike the fictional character Benjamin Martin, Francis Marion was a man without any kids. Francis Marion did not even get married until after the war. The whole father aspect of the movie was once again a fictional piece added to this movie to make the war more dramatic. It gave Benjamin Martin something to fight for instead of going with what actually happened. This was my take on the main character in the movie The Patriot.
Both the movie and novel still portrayed the typical all-boys prep school, but in different ways. The movie didn’t make a main character out of Cliff Quakenbush at all. Cliff is classified as an important character in the book therefore in the movie he should be just as important. As the team manager that’s in charge of accepting Gene as the assistant manager, you would think he would show up more frequently. In the book, Cliff was a bigger deal, as in the movie, cliff was barely ever shown.
Many historical movies had been made about people or group of people and their accomplishments or in some cases mistakes. This does not mean that the directors and producers do not know about history. It is just that for their own benefit, the directors, storywriters, producers and other people change some historical facts and even the attitudes of the characters in order to stimulate public interest. One of the movies that has historical inaccuracies in it is the movie “Braveheart.” Even though the movie is somewhat accurate, it looks like the story-writer added some twists and turns to make it look interesting, without backing it up with accurate historical events. The historical inaccuracies in the movie “Braveheart” have several basic areas which include adding or deleting characters and inaccuracy regarding the lives and actions of historical figures.
Most Albums released in the early 90s would never even be made, much less released by major labels these days. Even the underground rapper of today pales in comparison to them. Yet another reason why that era was the best in hip-hop, regardless of the region. This is from the era where hip hop was feared by the mainstream... Now we have white pop singers (Timberlake) dissin "hip hop elite" on national television with no fear of retribution... I was watching the LA Riots special the other day and just thinking about who crushed our rebellious spirit and made us assimilate without a fight?
Carson Wack English Period 5 History Period 3 S.E.D. Topic: I will argue that John F. Kennedy could have been killed in many different ways, yet the most obvious way, a shot from a hotel window, was unlikely but is widely accepted. Source 1: “The Kennedy Assassination” www.jfk-assassination.com Credibility of Source/Background: It is an article written online by an unknown source, which leaves its credibility in question. Biased toward the side of widespread social intrigue, the author leans toward evidence of a conspiracy. However, even while he leans toward the eccentric side of the issue, the author includes facts that aspire to reveal certain truths pertaining to both theories.
8 Elements of Mass Communication Embedded in the Film This movie is about the life of a Nobel prize-winning American mathematician named John Forbes Nash Jr. It was also briefly based on the biography book about him written by Sylvia Nasar, which has the same name as the movie. The producer team encoded the information obtained from the biography according to its importance and relevance because there are too much information to squeeze into the a script with limited exposition quotient. Certain details were changed and omitted due to creative license, which usually happens in book transformation into film. According to the screenplay writer, Akiva Goldsman, this movie is not literally about Nash's life.
