Ferrer/Williams April 4, 2012 American Literature 6th The Great Gatsby 2.0 Myrtle was still warm as we left. I’ve never seen a man cry as much as Tom did; it was like a thunder shower that car ride home. He was too upset to drive so I offered to drive the rest of the way home. After I was home, I couldn’t help but think who had killed her. “Hey sport,” said Gatsby.
“Mama: What you been doing for these three days, son?” (105) Walter replied by telling her he spent his work time just driving, roaming the streets of their small are, and drinking at the Green Hat. (105) Also, after Walter was finally given another chance to prove himself a man, he disobeyed his mother. Lena told him that he could have a share of the money, if he put a small some into a safe bank account for his sister Beneatha. (106) Instead of doing so, Walter poured every single cent of the money into the hands of another man. Karma came back to bite him for his Selfish actions.
How should the nurse respond B -- 'I know this is scary for you. Would you like to sit and talk?' #6 The neurologist diagnoses an ischemic left-sided brain attack (stroke). The neurologist determines that Nancy is not a candidate for tPA. Lovenox is prescribed.
After different nurses had went in and tried working with this patient I went in. After entering the room I introduced myself to the patient and got straight to the point. I informed the patient that medicine could not be left at bedside it was against the hospital policy. Also I explained that the only medicines administered to him were the ones ordered by his doctor; and some medications that the doctor ordered was multiple dose. I discussed with the patient also that some medicine is not as effective when not taken all at the same time.
Why had his respirations not been monitored? The nurse likely in her very busy state forgot to put him on the ECG monitor, or she may have not chosen to place him on a monitor. She may have chosen to not put him on a monitor because in her personal experience he was a low risk patient with a high narcotic tolerance. With the ER getting busier she thought she was saving herself a little bit of time by not placing him on the ECG monitor. Using the “five whys” to
She is innocent and cautious, while he is aggressive and daring. Maybe this was her first car accident and she was not sure how to respond to Jake. I know that if I were in a car accident my first response would not be to shake hands with the person who rear-ended me. Quote: “I act too, ‘he lied to enhance the effect more. ‘Been in a couple of movies.’ She smiled like a fan” (Gilb 469).
The other patients finally had the courage to sign themselves out of the hospital, or at least of the ward. In addition, the doctors as well no longer feared her. However, McMurphy suffered for these changes, for he returned to the ward lobotomized. This left him much like the other vegetables, unresponsive, white faced and staring blankly. He chose this fate, for it was necessary to overcome the power of the nurse; to release her grasp on the patients of the ward.
She takes the patients freedom away, and makes their stay at the hospital even worse. She does not let the men get a say in what they want, if they want something they get it after a long time, or they just do not get it at all. She knows the weak spots for all the patients, and just where to peck at them. The patients try to please her during the group meetings by telling her their darkest secrets, and then they feel deeply ashamed for how she made them act, even though they have done nothing. She maintains her power by the use of shame and guilt against the patients, making them feel horrible.
My skin had lost its gleam of youth, and my hair had turned grey. Some terminal illness brought on by the fumes of the Enigmatic, slowed my progress, yet my scheme had worked. Just like every other Sunday night, I loaded the Enigmatic into the rear of the delivery trucks. Little did the Government, or their workers for that matter know, that the next dose of Enigmatic that the Citizens of the City took, would be their last. My drug would release them from their devotion to the Government, and allow me, 6754, to lead a revolt.
As we were headed to the hospital I think they hit every bump that they could it was a rough ride and the pain was starting to take affect as my addrinaline was coming down. Then the paramedic asks me if I like my clothes? I reply that I didn't care about my work uniform but I did like my hoody. He says well i'm sorry and cut it off me along with all my other clothes. Then we get to the hospital and they get me into an emergency room.
