Juan Domingo Peron was president elect of Argentina three times during his lifetime. He governed Argentinga with dictatorship and Facist tendencies from 1946-1955 and from 1972-1974. Juan Peron was and still is one of the most popular political figures of Argentina. Having a huge impact on this country, Peron and his second wife; Eva Duarte, were immensely popular among the population of Argentina. The efforts of Peron and his later Peronist movement were concentrated on eliminating poverty in Argentina and dignifying labor. This concentration was largely on the relationship between state and people. Whether seen in present day as fascist dictators or saints, Juan and Eva Peron’s impact on the country of Argentina are key figures in this country’s history. The political movement established by Juan Peron was named Peronism. Peronism in present day Argentina is represented by the Justicialist Party. This movement largely contributed to Argentina’s largely ignored but principally important sectors; the educational system and the women of Argentina. Through the expansion of these influences, Juan Peron sought to expand his political culture by integrating and focusing on novel groups that would later represent votes for the Peronism political party. Juan Peron gave close and personal attention to reforming education in Argentina. The Peronist movement ambitiously sought to create a democratic objective of broadening access and opportunity for adults and vocational students as well as elementary aged students. This movement would propose to use state resources to achieve its goal of an educational reform to bring Argentine identity to coexist with the Peronist national doctrine.
