The Al Madani Group was born half a century ago, with a vision for a new future. The key to its success has been a long established culture focused on quality and service. A culture that believes that innovation is not a function, but a cornerstone for its business philosophy. AMG has diversified into various lines, such as engineering, real estate and apparel. The current Chairman and C.E.O of its apparel company, Mohammad Al Madani, was the person responsible for discovering the Hang Ten brand. During his extensive travels to the Far East and China, he was enchanted by the Hang Ten brand, because of its broad collection of casual apparel for the entire family and its competitive pricing. AT that time, he took the decision that AMG would bring the brand to the U.A.E. The contract between HANG TEN and Western Elegance (a subsidiary of AMG) was signed in December 1996 and in May 1997; the first outlet was opened in Deira City Center, Dubai. It was the show of business acumen that prompted Hang Ten to make AMG the ‘Master Licensee’ in 1999 for the entire Middle East, CIS countries and Africa, which brought nearly 27 countries under the AMG banner. AMG has also recently acquired the Distribution Rights for Levi’s and Dockers for the U.A.E Today What started on the beaches of California is now established in over 60 countries with over 400 freestanding Hang Ten stores including distribution in thousands of department and speciality stores worldwide.
