As a child he was twice afflicted by life-threatening illnesses requiring prolonged hospitalisations. He cofounded his first band in 1957, the Eddie Clayton Skiffle Group, and then achieved moderate success with Rory Storm and the Hurricanes. He joined the Beatles in 1962, replacing Pete Best. He sang lead vocals for "With a Little Help from My Friends" and "Yellow Submarine". Starr played key roles in the Beatles' films and appeared in numerous others.

These four guys truly knew how to sell records as well as inspire people through their music. Led Zeppelin formed in 1968 but their original name was The New Yardbirds. Jimmy Page started out his career with The Yardbirds along with legendary guitarist Eric Clapton and bassist John Paul Jones. Stevie had always loved the guitar, in an interview he said that he always wanted to play the drums but he didn’t have any drums, so he decided to play the saxophone. But could only get a few squeaks. His older brother Jimmie Vaughan could play the guitar, so Stevie decided that he would play the guitar too, he taught himself how to play the blues style of music, and did not learn how to read sheet music.
