Organizational Performance is the actual performance results of a company compared to their expected results (Jex & Brett 2008). Many factors affect organizational performance including employee motivation, job design and team management. Proper management of these factors is essential for improving organizational performance. The University of Phoenix simulation, Improving Organizational Performance features a company called Airdevils, Inc., an aerial stunt performance company. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the simulation and make recommendations for improvement to the company by suggesting measures that increase flexibility within the organization, analyzing staff to create high performing groups, and suggesting measures to reduce employee stress and improve employee job satisfaction. Last, application of motivation theories, human behavior, and stress reduction measures will be discussed (University of Phoenix, 2004). Airdevils, Inc. According to the University of Phoenix simulation (2004), Airdevils, Inc. is an organization based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Initially started by owner, renowned skydiver, Celsey Evans in 1995, the company has grown to employ over 115 stunt divers and support personnel. The founding team of five has retired from aerial stunts and forms the top management team. Airdevils has enjoyed tremendous success performing daring and innovative stunts. They have won numerous national and international awards since the beginning of the company. The company services a wide range of industries ranging from movies to marketing.
