The drug addicts lose all respect for themselves and these addictions end up taking over their lives. Maybe the addicts are right when they say the addictions are their own fault and aren’t a reflection towards their troubled childhood. Addicts may just get caught up in the wrong situation at the wrong time and end up getting addicted to a drug just to fit in with peers. Drug addictions will create emotional distress no matter whose fault it
Before my husband die, he got cleaned but it was to late for him. The behavior and mentality of drug addicts and alcoholics is wholly irrational until individual understand that they are completely powerless over their addiction and unless they have structure help, they have no hope. Matt and my husband , I think try very hard to stop their addiction. I will give some of the reason : For individuals with a difficult life, sometimes using drugs and alcohol acutually makes life seem better. 2.
Drugs are never good and from what I’ve seen and heard that they never end well sometimes. Where in the right mind would make people want to do drugs. It ruins lives and ends careers. Also, there are some friends that have joined the gang life and that’s all they believe in now. My brother was a gang member, never really got to see him.
Teens do drugs because they want to be cool or they think it is cool to do drugs because all of their friends do it. I think it is bad for you and I would never do drugs because you never know what may happen to you in the future, and I plan on living for a while. Almost everybody is vulnerable to drugs; kids, adults, even your co – workers, are all vulnerable to drugs but you can make yourself become non – vulnerable to them by staying away from people who do drugs. The only way to stop drugs completely is to kill all the drug plants and lock everyone who is selling the and making them from Mexico and the United
Bennett’s chapter against the legalization of drugs he speculates that the legalization of drugs would remove the criminal stigma that currently labels drug users. Bennett theorizes that a removal of this stigma would take with it the hesitation felt by the majority of people who see no positives in a life of crime. He is talking about every drug which one would agree that such a broad decriminalization would send our country into a downward spiral filled with addicted citizens barely able to function within society. The hard drugs that Bennett describes are in fact a danger to society such drugs like PCP, heroin or crack cocaine. However, he barely touches on the fact of marijuana alone.
It sedates, calms, and most importantly distracts a person from realizing that there's actually something very, very wrong the citizens of the World State are enslaved. Many of us wonder if, Marijuana or other cannabis related products could be used in our nation to maintain the same results as in Brave New World. This Mel-Gibson-in-The Patriot moment is not so effective, and mostly because of the way that soma enslaves its user’s
When Lane says, “ Recreational use is not the smartest thing” I absolutely agree. A lot of adolescents start smoking marijuana because they are peer pressured. The more they do it, the more they seem to want to keep doing it to “fit in”. It seems that the earlier someone is to start smoking marijuana the more decided they are about legalizing it. Legalizing marijuana would make our government look terrible; because marijuana is a drug that most people use to “escape” or just because they like the feeling.
This could have a huge affect on the current war on drugs. The war on drugs will continue because apparently the big drug dealer can not be caught. Drugs are going to continue in the states simply because some people do not have jobs and each of these individuals sells drugs to try and make money. If the war on drugs does not be controlled then a lot of things could happen and make the world go down tremendously. Today in our society if drugs are not off the street our younger generations will began to sell it and use it too.
Some long-term effects are: suppression of the immune system, growth disorders, increase of abnormally structured cells in the body, or inability to understand things clearly. The foundation for a drug-free world feels very strongly when it comes to be being against marijuana; rather it’s with their arguments or by their name. It seems like they want to free the world of all drugs, not just marijuana. They talk about the affects of drugs like heroin, crack, cocaine, and even crystal meth. With marijuana they really stress negatives that it can do to your body.
Take a guess which one they chose, home of course. These teenaged girls were so scared of the trouble they might get into that they didn’t make an effort to help their friend and possibly save her life. I know what you’re thinking though; if Anna had followed the law and not taken drugs then she wouldn’t have died. But reality is, teenagers experiment, they make mistakes but they are not
