“How Humans Affect the Environment” In this essay I will be talking about five different aspects of how humans affect the environment and how it all starts. Firstly, I am will explain the effects of population explosion. Then I will talk about land and water pollution, then air pollution, then deforestation and destruction, and then finally global warming. Population explosion has simply occurs when there are more people being born than dying. Because of the increase in population more raw materials are being used up and more waste is being produced. For example, the fossil fuel coal has been used in vast amounts because the burning of coal is needed for electricity. With the increase of population, more and more people need electricity because the standard of living had increased to what it was a very long time ago. More waste is being produced because there are simply more people. If we cannot control this waste properly, there is a very high chance of our water becoming polluted which means that we would have less clean water to drink. The population increase has a big affect on land and recourses. For example, acres of land are being used up for essential things such as houses, shops, factories, roads and many more things. This is bad because when we industrialise land we destroy many various animals’ habitats which then essentially kills them. Not only is it bad for animals the industrialisation of land also affects plant because it means that they get destroyed and also have less places to grow. With the depletion of resources scientists need to not only find alternative power sources but power sources that can give out a lot of electricity. Scientists have found renewable resources such as solar power, wind power and tidal power, but these resources do not give us the amount of energy that is worldwide demanded. This will become a very big problem in the
