Leadership, confidence, and friendship - all of these elements define why I am passionate about keeping music education in public schools. Music involvement throughout my school career has presented me with many challenges and rewards. As a leader in the band, I am often presented with problems and issues, which may or may not be related to music. I have to be a mentor and a negotiator, as well as an instructor. Being a leader in my band provides me with a sense of pride.
The band and its leaders have taught me how to teach, have patience and lead a group of people towards a shared goal. These are a few of the reasons why I get to call myself a section leader of the percussion section, for this season. In a nutshell, the band program is the one place where I am at my happiest because it is where I go when I need a place to think and relax. Somewhere I go to see the people I share so much in common with, enjoy spending time with, and call my second family. Expressing how much the band and being a part of the band program at MBSH means to me is not an easy thing to accomplish with words, but here I have explained a small portion of why the band organization is important to
I want to be a positive role model to all the young children in our community, and show them that if you set your mind to do it you can achieve anything with hard work and dedication. I also feel this way about being a cheerleader. I feel that a Captain should lead with their heart, not their mouth. I have a vision for my team and we will work together to achieve it. Each year I set goals for myself, and work diligently toward making them become possible.
Another reason I decided to choose body work for my project was because I always thought that I would want to do it but I wasn’t sure. This project has showed me that it is something I would enjoy for the rest of my life because you always have something to show for all the hard work you’ve done. Not many people have the chance to say that they completely rebuild a 1970 chevelle SS. I can and I am so proud of that because not only is this car life changing but it is also sentimental because if I was to ever lose my dad ill always remember all the work that we have put into this car and how we have done all of it together. I am one day going to be able to share this same experience with my son because I am a car junkie I just love cars they are so amusing how much technology has changed from back then.
He has high expectations from his players rather it is athletically, academically and personality. He wants to know what his players are doing all the time and wants them to be leaders on and off the field even putting them through leadership classes at the college. He believes in his coaches and his players. He micro-manages but with a meaningful purpose and that is success. He wants his whole program to be successful off and on the field and to prepare his players for life after football and he has a plan for all of
The school will be affected by my role because as a team we will plan events that all classes participate in and hopefully enjoy. 6. I was motivated to seek this position because I had experience being a part of SGA before. I enjoyed being a part of the team and now as a rising senior I would like to take on more responsibility because I know I can handle it. I’ve seen the work that goes into planning some of these events

“Bridge Builders seeks to develop among high school students a group of future leaders who can lay aside individual and cultural differences and work for the benefit of all.” This is the mission statement for Bridge Builders which is a program that I participated in my junior year of high school, and now actively involved with my senior year. The program, without a doubt, lives up to its mission statement. During the program we participated in leadership, personal, and team building activities. The program’s methods taught me how to be a great leader in any situation, whether I was leading myself or a group. I also made life-long friendships, and I am still meeting new people at our meetings that we have during the school year.
I practice every day making sure that I will do the right moves, so I could do a good job at my performance that I will be doing at Deland Park on the Memorial Day this year. Next, the one and only goal that I finally succeeded was to finally work out every day at school. I’ve accomplish this goal this year, even though I just started for only a couple of weeks now, I know I will keep going. I want to stay healthy, fit and happy. My needs besides food, water and shelter, I need music in my life.
I make every effort that is possible to be a leader in each thing I participate in, as well as I know how to balance my academics with my extracurricular activities. Florida State University offers all of the opportunities that I am searching for, and I would love to be a part of your community. Everything about your campus appeals to me, and I
