He got the real experience of joy and devastation instead of just seeing it behind the protection of his castle walls. Lastly, Gilgamesh learned how much his people worked and had to suffer because of him. At the end of the book, he looks at the wall his people have built for him and sees how much effort is really put into everything that seemed so small and easy to him before. The elders also supported him, gave him good advice and moral support. Gilgamesh never thought about how hard his people had it, and he would have continued to think that they had it easier than they really did.
Appetite In the essay "Appetite" the author Laurie Lee first gives a more general definition of "appetite" and then calls attention to the importance of preserving it as a source of satisfaction in life. In his effort to define "appetite" and to make his readers realize the significance of preserving it, Lee resorts less to abstract explanation than to generalizing from specifics---his childhood experience, the way he thinks meals should be taken, and the difference in the way of life of ancient people and modern man. However, the conclusions and the generalizations are not isolated; rather, they follow the "one-leads-to-the-other" pattern, thus weaving sections of the writing into a whole, which can be found as follows: 1. Victor’s first recollections are of his, "mother’s tender caresses", and his, "father’s smile of benevolent pleasure" (page 33). They regard him as being, "bestowed on them by heaven", and recognise that his future, "was in their hands to direct to happiness or misery". He also tells Walton that his mother and father felt that they, "owed" something to him because they had given him life. Theme is the lesson being taught in the story and it is always showing up in this book. The theme that appears in throughout the novel is the importance of getting along and bonding with others in society. William Golding shows this theme in Lord of the Flies when Jack breaks away from the rest of the group to create his own tribe because he doesn’t agree with Ralph just caring about having a signal so they can be rescued. Jack cares about finding food and hunting for the rest of the group so that they can survive on the island while waiting for rescue. There is no communication

So the real truth about Lady Gaga fans, my Little Monsters, lies in this sentiment: They are the Kings. They are the Queens. They write the history of the kingdom and I am something of a devoted Jester” (Manifesto of Little Monster, 2010). In her sermon for the Little Monster Manifesto, Lady Gaga declares that each Little Monster is a unique being and that she is merely a servant to her own followers.

Odysseus didn’t really have any troubles at birth, but he left home for the war at a young age.
