Kolby McNeal Harrington English B4 October 5, 2012 The Story of Odysseus Although Odysseus meets many of the epic hero, there are also distinctions which make Odysseus seem less than heroic. They say that because he seems just like any other hero although he was one of the greatest. The things I will be talking about in this essay is Odysseus accomplishments and highlights. Odysseus didn’t really have any troubles at birth, but he left home for the war at a young age. It is kind of cool because he left at a young age it doesn’t mean I want to leave at a young age, but it’s cool for him. The war that he went to was the Trojan war he basically made the war but not like that, he basically came up with the idea. In mythology version he is like MLK of it. Odysseus really didn't have any troubles at birth he was maybe just like any other kid, but had more power and such witch made him grow up as a hero. He is also considered a hero because he fought the Trojan war and came up with the plan of using the Trojan horse, with the help of Athena. He also finally made it home to Ithaca after a very hard difficult journey from the Trojan War. He killed his wife's suitors and finally got to see his son, Telemachu, that he left when he was just a baby to go fight in the Trojan War. He killed and fought his way through the wrath of Poseidon to get home to the ones he loved and that is why he is an epic hero.
