When the police arrived at the scene Peter gets away leaving only Anthony and Cameron in the car. Because of the incident with Ryan and Hansen Cameron gets angry and verbally assaults the police officers when they asked him to get out of the car. Hansen told the police officers that he knew Cameron and persuaded them to let him go with a warning. Cameron Stopped to look at Anthony and told him “You embarrass me, you embarrass yourself.” In conclusion, Cameron is trying to make Anthony understand that they are consequences to his actions. The media glorifies the killer by giving so much public attention to it and talking about details that were involved in the killings. The information given by media can hinder the investigation. There are so many different things that can make policing a hazardous job because of all the unknowns that can happen. Based on data from the Officer Down Memorial Page in 2008 38 deaths were from gunfire, 36 were from automobile accidents, and 12 were struck by a vehicle. While not all things that officers go through are violent some hazards come from helping and serving the public. When assisting at a crime or accident there is always a risk of disease or infection from the person they are helping.

For example, if an ordinary civilian were to try to commit an evil, barbaric action, they would be chastised heavily. As a police officer however, you can commit any sort of barbaric, savage action, and get away with it. As a police officer, you are even handed the weapons needed to commit these heinous crimes, and an ample amount of excuses and privileges. Police officers command authority, and most of the things that police officers do aren’t chastised or critiqued by others.

The officers pulled him out the car and beat him brutally while a resident caught it all on tape. Four LAPD officers were indicted with charges, however, after a year of trial, a white jury acquitted the officers. That decision sparked violence in all of Los Angles. Chaos surrounded the city, infuriated mobs roamed the streets, and several citizens were injured, dead, and arrested.

This tells us that driving and texting is clearly killing and injuring people. Car accidents can cause physical and emotional distress. In the film family members were showing signs of emotional and physical distress by hitting the arm rest on the chair and when talking repeatedly about how they can’t say things that they want their child to do. It was difficult for some to tell the story of the accident because they were in so much pain and frustration.
