One of the regulations that Parliament passed was the Stamp Act of 1765. This taxed all printed documents, including: wills, newspapers, and pamphlets. The colonists felt they were not fairly represented because they held no seat in Britain's parliament. The rallying cry for the colonists became "no taxation without representation." After years of boycotting and peaceful protest the American colonists could no longer stand the abuse from Great Britain and decided that they had had enough.
The end result was that Louis ended up spending 1,066 livres on the American Revolution, which he funded by taking out large loans at high interest rates. The French Revolution was much more of a social revolt than the American Revolution was. The American colonists wanted either fair representation if they were going to pay taxes, or to be free of the British monarchy. Whereas, in France the people of the lower-class had been mistreated and deprived, causing them to become vengeful and violent. Another huge difference, and one that is fairly obvious, is the amount of violence.

The American Revolution was a result of the colonists unrest caused by their abhorrence towards their British Mother Country. They no longer wanted to be controlled by a country an ocean away, and in turn sought independence. In this essay, I will provide a thorough examination of what revolution promised and what it delivered to these various groups of people. The British North American Revolution was a political upheaval that occurred from 1775 to 1783, in which colonies worked together to break ties with the British. The British Empire took advantage of the colonies by imposing harsh taxes known as the Stamp Act and Townshend Acts and adopting the policy that colonies should contribute more to the territories rather than expanding its powers into western Indian Territory. All of these causes had there own part of the French Revolution some more than others, but the Economic Causes influenced the French Revolution more than the other causes of the French Revolution. The French Revolution began in 1789 with the convocation of the Estate-General in May and ended in 1799. The French Revolution was a period radical social and political upheaval in France that had a major impact on France and throughout Europe.
