France fell to the Nazi's in 1940. The United States was neutral at the time. 4. The Eagle Squad is an American pilot flying unit, flyers would volunteer to fight with England since America was not declared into war. Rafe volunteered to become a hero. 5. Danny was upset that Rafe was "assigned" to the Eagle Squad because he doesn't want Rafe to go looking for trouble. Rafe lied to Danny about volunteering because he didn't want Danny to volunteer. 6.
